Cougar Robotics is a student-driven team with one mission: to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics in the community. The groups vision is a society where innovation is celebrated and commands a greater respect in the minds of the youth. In the fields of engineering and math, the United States will need approximately 24 million graduates by 2018, and the current educational system is geared to provide only 19 million graduates. This disparity earned the United States a D grade from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. By making science exciting and rewarding, Cougar Robotics aims to attract and retain interest among future generations and train them towards successful careers. Our robotics team enables high school students to participate in a higher level of technical problem solving, gaining a wide variety of skills ranging from engineering to project management to finance. We strive to promote the interest and knowledge of science, engineering, and technology to develop leadership, business, teamwork, communication and mathematics, as well as developing important technological and business skills. We provide a safe, structured environment for students to meet and work with engineers, scientists, technologists, and advanced technology manufacturers. By providing technology education to students, it will help improve their ability to enter the workforce upon graduation. In our community, we give back by helping youth by holding robotics day camps and mentoring a local elementary schools Lego robotics team. Alone, no team could ever hope to achieve their ambitious goals; but together we can promote advanced change and improvement in our community. Sponsor financial support is essential for carrying out our mission. We greatly appreciate any patronage and recognize this dedication to education. We ask that you would donate whatever is possible to our cause. Recognition on the robot and the team t-shirt begins at $500. Enclosed is a breakdown of sponsorship levels. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
