FB2TD This circuit breaker consist of three separated poles, vertically arranged and connected to three closing resistor

switch poles (e) To each circuit breaker is associated, either a three pole hydraulic operating mechanism, or threee single pole hydraulic operating mechanism (b), and three coupling system (c) connecting the breaker poles to their mechanism portion. Each pole includes 2 interrupting units in series, puffer type ; the extinguishing agent is the SF6 gas. Pole Description - encloser it consist of A cylindrical tank (217) in aluminium alloy with four necks with flange intended to ensure connection to the closing resistor switch and to the adjacent element. A building part fitted on the compartement (valve (a), Pressure Switch (b) and rupturing disc (c) In the tank bottom, aboring operation allows to insert the moleculer sieve (227) : a cover (113) ensured tightness Working portion It consist of two interrupting units arranged in series in the enclosure. The fixed part are secured by fixed braces (21) resting on the tank bottoms through the intermediary of the support (11) and of the contact support (16) The moving parts are connected by means of insulating moving braces (25) to a rock lever (29) integral with the coupling rod to the ram (33). This link provides operation synchronization in both interrupting units Each breaking unit includes: Permanent current carrying parts, i.e A parallel contact (50) with contact fingers, A sliding contact (14) or (15) with contact fingers A moving contact tube (66) Current Breaking Parts an insulating nozzle (64) a fixed contact (49) with arching tip a breaking contact with arching fingers (57) and a finger protective hood (55) SF 6 blast pressure generating parts a moving cylinder (59) a Valved piston (70) connected to the slinding contact (14) or (15) The moving parts, that is the cylinder (59), the contact holder (58), the nozzle (64), the nozzle holding tip(63), the breaking contact (57), the finger protective hood(55), the moving contact tube(66), the washer (65) are all integral with the moving rocking lever (28) secured on the moving braces (25). The Breakinh units are electrically series-connected , each with a 500 pF parallelmounted capacitor (79) to provide a uniform voltage distribution.

The connection to the closing resistor switch is ensured, on ther fixed contact side by a resistor holder (525) fitted on the insulating cone (500) and on the moving contact side, by a spherical contact (480) fitted on the plug support (475) The connection to the other adjacent element is ensured by means of two spherical contacts (220) fitted on two terminal supports(42) Operation The units is shown in open position . any opening or closing operation is initiated by energizing of the operating mechanism relevant coil. - pole opening pressurizing of oil in the opening chanel of the ram entails motion of the moving assembly. The nozzle holding tip (63)part with the parallel contact fingers(50). Current flows only through the breaking contact fingers (57) and the fixed contact (49) the nozzle (64) is obturated by the fixed contact (49). It self obturated by the breaking contact (57). The volume of the space between the nozzle (64) and the piston (70) decreases ; SF6 pressure increases When the breaking contact fingers (57) part with the fixed contact (49), the arc while strikes between the tip of the fixed contact (49) and the contact fingers(57) is blown through the nozzle At end of travel, the oil damper provides damping action for the moving assembly Pole Closing Pressurizing of oil in the closing channel of the ram entails breaker closing and the action s are reversed of those described above. When closing operation takes place, pre-arching takes place between the fixed contact (49) and the breaking contact fingers (57) As closing operation proceeds, the valve of piston (70) opens which allows to accelerate filling of the SF6 gas volume included between the cylinder (59) and the piston (70) in order to prepare the following opening operation
