2.0 History of Products Company Development & Founder Leon Reznik is the founder of ABiSee, Inc. ABiSee is a manufacturer of portable and standalone devices that aid the blind and those with low vision to read printed text ABiSee, Inc. is the leading worldwide developer and manufacturer of audio-visual image enabling solutions for the blind and visually-challenged. Eye-Pal is technologically advanced product line includes devices and applications that enhance the lives, independence and productivity of the users they serve, in the home, workplace, and classroom. ABiSee, Inc. markets to publicly funded organizations and directly to end users in the USA, South America, Europe, Australia, India and Japan through its worldwide dealer network. ABiSee, Inc., founded in the basement of Sudbury, MA home in 2005, has grown steadily in the past 4 years. Today, ABiSee, Inc. is a multi-million dollar company selling its technologically advanced, yet easy-to-use devices worldwide. In 2006, ABiSee, Inc. introduced its first auto scanner/reader, Zoom-Ex. Zoom-Ex's performance broke time barriers in OCR with its ability to scan and read a page of text within 20-60 seconds. Zoom-Exs text wrapping feature put magnified text within the dimensions of a screen and freed users from the reliance on an X-Y table for the first time in history. In 2007, inspired by the need of students and working professionals with low vision for a tool that would aid their productivity, we added a second flexible CCTV camera to the Zoom-Ex configuration and Zoom-Twix was born. Zoom-Twix enabled students to not only read textbooks but to save the text. Students could open the saved book and go to any page they desired with a single click. ABiSee, Inc. developed the second camera as a flexible CCTV camera to view the blackboard, capture the information on it and empower students to take written tests under desired magnifications. In 2008, ABiSee introduced Eye-Pal at the 2008 ATIA to the accolades of attendees. Eye-Pal is a device initially designed for blind users and its speed was so fast, that it just took a few seconds to start reading. Those who saw our demonstration could not believe that it was

possible for any device to scan and start reading so quickly. Eye-Pals versatility as a reader (it could read books and newspapers, junk mail and even the text on a bottle of shampoo), was also lauded by those present. We even integrated the Eye-Pal with Braille displays and full voice support. In 2009, not content to leave well enough alone, ABiSee engineered significant improvements in the quality of Zoom-Ex and Zoom-Twix. Today, both devices are as fast and accurate as Eye-Pal. In addition, ABiSee developed two additional improvements to display magnified text on screen: 1. Text may be shown as true font. The quality of the highly magnified text is better than with any CCTV. 2. Depending on a users visual impairment and preferences, the person may select how the text will display on the screen: as multiple lines or as a single line, as an auto-scrolling line or as one word at a time, accompanied by speech if so desired.
