ABSTRACT : The advantages of TOUCH SCREEN Based monitoring and controlling are well recognized by the various electricity boards in the country today. Not only does TOUCH SCREEN based controlling lead to much power efficiency and better decision systems, it also brings intangibles like safety to the system. Though there exist various systems in the market that aid in TOUCH SCREEN based monitoring, none has become an industry either standard or widely prevalent. The reasons range from limited computing power and lack of customizability to high price and absence of local technical support.
This project deals with automation of substation monitoring and controlling. Various sensors sense important parameters like Voltage, current and Temperature and these are given to microcontroller through ADC. If any abnormal condition is occurred in substation, through ZIGBEE data will be sent remote station. From remote station using TOUCH SCREEN we can automatically turnoff the transformer.
