Prose is a form of language which applies ordinary grammatical structure and natural flow of speech rather than rhythmic

structure A novel is a long prose narrative that usually describes fictional characters and events in the form of a sequential story. A short story is a work of fiction, usually written in narrative prose. Often depicting few characters and concentrating a 'single effect' or mood, it differs from the anecdote in its use of plot, and the variety of literary techniques it shares with the more extensive novel. An anecdote is a short and amusing or interesting account, which may depict a real incident or person. Anecdotes can be as brief as the setting and provocation of a bon mot. An anecdote is always presented as based in a real incident involving actual persons, whether famous or not, usually in an identifiable place. Fable is a literary genre. A fable is a succinct fictional story, in prose or verse, that features animals, mythical creatures, plants, inanimate objects or forces of nature which are anthropomorphized , and that illustrates or leads to an interpretation of a moral lesson ,which may at the end be added explicitly in a pithy maxim.

Poetry is a form of literary art which uses the aesthetic qualities of language to evoke meanings in addition to, or in place of, the prosaic ostensible meaning Ode is a type of lyrical verse. A classic ode is structured in three major parts: the strophe, the antistrophe, and the epode.Different forms such as the homostrophic ode and the irregular ode also exist. It is an elaborately structured poem praising or glorifying an event or individual, describing nature intellectually as well as emotionally. a song is a composition for voice or voices, performed by singing. A choral or vocal song may be accompanied by musical instruments, or it may be unaccompanied, as in the case of a cappella songs. The lyrics (words) of songs are typically of a poetic, rhyming nature, though they may be religious verses or free prose. The term melodrama refers to a dramatic work that exaggerates plot and characters in order to appeal to the emotions. It may also refer to the genre which includes such works, or to language, behavior, or events which resemble them. Tragedy is a form of drama based on human suffering that invokes in its audience an accompanyingcatharsis or pleasure in the viewing. Comedy in the contemporary meaning of the term, is any discourse or work generally intended to be humorousor to amuse by inducing laughter, especially in theatre, television, film and stand-up comedy. An essay is a piece of writing which is often written from an author's personal point of view. Essays can consist of a number of elements, including:literary criticism, political manifestos, learned arguments, observations of daily life, recollections, and reflections of the author. News is the communication of selected information on current events which is presented by print, broadcast, Internet, or word of mouth to a third-party or mass audience.
