To be eligible to compete for the title of Miss Vermont you must:


* Be at least 17 years old and graduated from High School (or GED) by June 22, 2013 * Be no older than 24 on December 31, 2013 * Be a VT resident for at least six months or enrolled in/attending classes full-time in VT * Be a US citizen * Be Single (Never Married) and meet the character criteria as set forth by the Miss America Organization * Visit website for complete competition requirements (www.missvermont.org) I like this one better too.

Workshops are an opportunity to meet other outstanding young women while developing specic skill sets. The workshops are open to all young women ages 17-24. Workshops are only $25 each. Come to one or come to all - these are fabulous!

Whether youve participated in our workshops or youve just heard about our program, we strongly encourage you to compete in the Miss Vermont Competition.

PRELIMINARY TITLE HOLDER PROGRAM


The Miss Vermont Scholarship Organization offers the Preliminary Title Program to young women between the ages of 17-24. To support you and your ability to compete for the Miss Vermont scholarshipsand the title of Miss Vermont, the PTP Program offers workshops, practice and skill building in the areas of self-discovery, public speaking skills, interview and communication skills, stage presence, appearance, developing poise and condence, and creating your own personal platform of community service. While the PTP program is optional, the benets are amazing and each contestant participating in this peer driven program will receive: *An ofcial sash *Waived fees for 4 skill building workshops ($25 ea) *Waived fee for Contestant Development Day ($35) *Appearance and service opportunities within your county *A private 1-hour consultation with an experienced Miss Vermont *Opportunity to mentor a young girl participating in our newly formed Princess Program

The Preliminary Title Holder Program continues to grow in size and scope each year, with more partners asking to help these young women as they attain critical skills. In recent years, PTPs have been asked to model for local events, appear at State functions, and have been given complimentary public speaking classes by the Dale Carnegie Institute.
