Importance of In Plant Training


In plant training is very important in management studies to enter the professional world. The gap between theory and application of theory in practical life is bought closer. The theory deals with ideal conditions with the variable are in control the practical there are many variable interfacing with the application of theoretical knowledge. It is preparatory stage or a brief rehearsal before the joining the organization. In plant training impart knowledge to the students, it also develops confidence and gives ideas as to what the professional world experts from you can expect from the professional world through the experience is brief , it introduces the two new world. Importance of human relations and good working atmosphere can only be understood by being exposed to environment. Again the day to day working involves decision making and even though just observation is not enough it does help you to guide the constraints under which management and staff work thus in plant training is very important to exposes one to disciplined working of an organization.

Objective of In Plant Training


The main objective of the practical training was to gain experience in different functional areas of management. As the experience gained would be helpful to individual when he gets a job, after completion of his MBA degree. Practical training is very important as the exact working of organization can be known and the working of different department of organization is also known. The practical training was a good help and it will be very helpful in future life. There are many aspect which would not be learnt theoretically but they were learnt during the practical training is the process of learning a sequence of programmed behavior. It is application knowledge, it attempts to improve performance. There is a need of the practical training because it increases productivity & improve quality, tracking with obsolescence. There is even personal growth of the individual. Training is the practical and vital necessity. Training is widely accepted as a problem solving device. So when you under go in plant training your basic constituents about anything are solved because theoretical knowledge is not sufficient, you should also known the working of particular machine, how the account book are kept, how the salaries are paid, how recruitment is done.

Introduction
Tulsi Chemicals and Paints Pvt. Ltd. is Marathwadas biggest paint manufacturing company. It involves in manufacturing all kinds of decorative paints like oil paints, distempers, plastic paints and the trading of different raw materials required for it.

Company has started manufacturing in 2001-02 with 1 supervisor & 4 workers with fixed capital of 1cr and now company has 4 supervisors and 20 workers with fixed capital of 1.2cr. Tulsi Paints is a company who has introduced special effect paints; texture paints 1st time in India. They have their network in 5 different states which includes Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

Now the company has started its chain retail outlets/franchisee in the different parts of country in the name Tulsi Colour Zone.

First unit set up as Tulsi Paints Pvt. Ltd. This unit was involved in manufacturing of cement paints, white cement based putties, oil paints, primer, red oxide.

Second unit is set up as Tulsi Chemicals & Paints Pvt. Ltd. This unit was involved in manufacturing of special effect paints, plastic paints, distemper, water thinnable primers, and texture paints n polymer based putties

Quality Assurance is responsibility of organization, to determine the systems facilities and written procedures are adequate and followed in order to assure that products are controlled. Quality Assurance Department checks the production process after every operation. Quality Assurance Department reviews the functions, not only determine that procedure are current and correct but also to check whether they are being followed or not.

In the paint process 1 st water is taken in the process and different chemicals are added into it. Then it is mixed thoroughly. Then different powders are added in the systems and grinded it thoroughly at very high speed. Here the quality of grind is tested. After approval of Quality Assurance Department final chemical are added. Then diff pigments are added in the system for the different shades. In this way the different colors are manufactured.

Maintenance department plays a vital role in proper function of many other departments, particularly packaging. It involves huge utility for continuous running of production. Utilities required for running the plant:

Maintenance department is responsible for repair, replacement, installation, examination, and measuring equipment qualification.

Maintenance department also looks after manufacturing capacities and its accessories like, repair. In order to meet the challenges for proper running of plant, following types of maintenance are performed. Marketing Department

Marketing Department of Tulsi Chemicals & Paints Pvt. Ltd. is situated in Nanded, from where operations related to marketing are controlled and handled. Tulsi Chemicals & Paints Pvt. Ltd. markets its different products to India within different states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

Distribution System :
A channel comprising C/F Agents, Depo, Stockiest, and Retailers makes a successful distribution system of Tulsi Chemicals & Paints Pvt. Ltd. Tentative requirements of all C / F Agents Institutional order Sales target of marketing team

authorities start dispatching. Since selling is a price interest of marketing, it is therefore also responsible for advertisement and for improving the customer relation. All the orders placed are either sent by courier or as per their convenience.

Pricing Policy :

The pricing policies of Paints are quite flexible basically three types of pricing are done. Accredited wholesaler price (AWE) Trade price Maximum retail price (MRP) In the whole process wholesaler get margin of nearly 30 % Retailer reserve margin of 20 %.

Sales promotion is done by various means. It orders to promote its product. Retailers opt for various gifts and different promotional activities. It also followed unique selling policy (USP) it is quite aware of its brand image as a Tulsi Chemicals & Paints it takes care of quality, value for cost, satisfaction of people, and affordable price at its utmost level. It is the tradition of Tulsi Chemicals & Paints Pvt. Ltd that they go for social welfare program such as charity, donation etc.

Finance Department

The Finance department takes care of the following important areas -- Finance Accounting Costing and Budgeting Taxation All the financial activities are operated from the Head Office. The finance department has to perform the following accounting work like Preparation of Cash sheet, etc. In this way day to day operation of cash is maintained i.e. opening balance and closing balance. Both the cash in hand and cash at bank are considered.

Cash Management :
The accounting people keep the vigil the requirement of cash in Tulsi Chemicals & Paints. The requirement of cash is calculated every month and projected amount required is sent to Head Office through the specified forms. The forecast is done on the weekly basis as the Head Office sends the amount weekly. Accounting Code :
The company follows a code system for accounting i.e. for all the heads of inflow and outflow of cash. The account code system is of 13 digits and it is under 3 groups. These 13 digital code systems are again subdivided into many digital codes. It is been structured taking in to consideration the numerous activities and many offices located all over India. The system is uniform in all divisions and generally facilitate in processing information.

Significance of Accounting Policy :


The significance of accounting policy are as follows

Basis of Accounting :
The financial statement is prepared in accordance with requirement of company act 1956, under the historical cost.

B) Fixed Asset and Depreciation :

Fixed assets are stated at cost of acquisition less accumulated depreciation. 1. 2. Depreciation is calculated on all assets in the straight line method. The cost of lease hold land is amounted over the lease period.

C) Investment :
Investment is valued at cost.

D) Inventories :
Inventories are valued at home of cost and net reliably value.

F) R & D :
The revenue expenditure on research and development is written off in the year in which it is incurred and capital expenditure is treated as fixed asset.

G)Retirement Benefits :
Retirement benefits are accounted on accrual base with contribution to recognized funds. Gratuity and liability towards leave encashment, entitlement of employees are determined on the basis of actual valuation.

Taxation Policy :

The company follows the tax structure as per the I.T. Act and rule. The Factory accounts department gets the circular of the amendments made in the tax rule by the head office which they have follow at time of deduction. The sub matter of the circular is divided under the profile leading --i. Income from salaries a) Actual Salary b) Allowances c) Perquisites d) Deduction for salary income ii. Reduction for gross total Income iii. Tax rate iv. Tax rebate All the employees liable to pay the tax as per the Income Tax Act and Rules which is deducted from their respective salaries. In the circular it is also mentioned below that the copy of Tax Structure may be circulated among all employees.

Human Resource Department

The personnel policy of Tulsi Chemicals & Paints Pvt. Ltd. is designed keeping in view companies strong belief that, people are the greatest asset of any organization. Hence it is aimed at selecting the right person at right place for a right job, compensating according to merit, training and developing the human resource to cope with the performance. Personal policy is aimed at developing a healthy working atmosphere building mutual trust among the employees of the organization and to include it good/ healthy habits among the employees in the company. The first and foremost objective of the company is to select and develop dedicated human resource, create a sense of belonging amongst employees and ensure the organization goals are achieved to the highest degree of satisfaction of the organization and employees. The company intends to achieve its mission by nurturing and promoting respect for individual, encouraging individual initiative, innovative, accountability, mutual trust and equality, without discrimination. The management style is vertical and structure of organization is a formal. It is inspired by core values such as Probity by business and concern for the environment.

other executives to find out the reason behind it and to prevent any further occurrence of such incidence as it because loss to company ultimately exit of an employee occurs due to some reason where management is at fault, it is made correct.

Observations
All Tulsi Chemicals & Paints people are found working with enthusiasm and zeal. It was found that in Tulsi Chemicals & Paints continuous up gradation of process for existing products is done. Company maintains proper records showing full particulars including quantitative details and situation of fixed asset.

Development of new shades of paints is done to increase the production.

Suggestions
There is scope of atomizing few operations of packaging. The company should try to keep the stock at the adequate level.

Training Programs are necessary for the employees for the different special effect paints.
