TV Coverage of the ICF Wildwater canoeing sprint World Championship Solkan 2013

NFs are requested to contact their National Broadcasters/TV Channels TV Slovenija has confirmed to the Slovenian Canoe Federation that it will produce the TV signal for the sprint finals and possibly the second run of team races at the 2013 ICF Wildwater Canoeing Sprint World Championship in Solkan, Slovenia. Slovenian National TV plan to organize live night race under the flashlights on Friday, unfortunately this will not be possible on Saturday because they already have other engagements with live coverage of other sporting events. Due to these commitments Saturdays competition will have to end before 18h00. The Slovenian Canoe Federation requests that interested NFs make inquiries with their National TV channels to see if they would like to broadcast the event in the hours suggested in the enclosed programme. The competition schedule can be adapted to suit the broadcasting hours for the respective TV Channels if this information is provided to the Slovenian Federation early enough. The Friday night competition will be organized at the highest possible level and will be a great promotion for the sport. The final can however be postponed if the event cannot be broadcast in the evening as it is important that as many TV channels and countries broadcast the competition. For additional information contact ICF Secretary General Simon Toulson\: simon.toulson@canoeicf.com.

Information on 2013 ICF Events for National Federations & Event Organisers

General Information about ICF Marketing ICF Marketing documents are available on the ICF website /NF area. ICF Sponsoring flyer ICF Sponsoring brochure: presenting Canoeing, the ICF and the sponsoring advertising opportunities (will be updated as soon as possible with 2012 figures/pictures) ICF Marketing programme: presenting the marketing plan, objectives, achievements 2011 -2012, new projects ICF Advertising Guidelines on Equipment. This project is still in progress and it will begin with the Olympic disciplines, therefore, the document on the website is not the final version.

ICF Advertising Guidelines on Equipment at ICF Events Visual presentation is a key factor in any sporting event. The overall look of the equipment, the venues, the field of play and the athletes adds value to the competition. The ICF wants better recognition of its Events. Therefore it wants to standardise the Identifications on all Equipment. Placing the athletes equipment visibility at the forefront will help to further distinguish ICF Competitions, enable the identification of athletes and stakeholders, and improve the general appearance of equipment. The ICF is therefore pleased to work on Guidelines regarding Authorised Identifications on Equipment at ICF Competitions. This guide will contain the general rules and the specific details for the different categories of equipment. These guidelines will provide guidance on how these principles are to be implemented. They are not intended to restrict but to clarify each stakeholders position within the ICF Competitions structure. The objective is to keep the space clean and visible. These rules will apply to all equipment used at Canoe Sprint and Canoe Slalom ICF Competitions from 2013, for NFs who are ready to implement the Guidelines. The manual will be extended to other ICF disciplines in the future. In order to finalise this first version and decide on a timeline, the ICF needs to receive your feedback from NFs about the Guidelines and what if any, are their sponsorship commitments. In particular, the ICF would like to know what is the duration for all existing contractual agreements with national Sponsors? All comments can be emailed to catherine.wieser@canoeicf.com before 28 February. The document is available in the ICF website/NF Area.
