4) Short description of presentation:


This presentation focuses on the practical application of ethical principles for practitioners. Looking to
clarify tensions between professional ethics, personal morality, and practice decisions, this presentation
will focus on the implementation issues from the baseline of principles considered as .

5) Abstract:
After a brief introduction of bioethics principles and application issues we will consider two cases of
conflicting interest to identify strategies for resolving competing moral claims. Specific cases will
provide opportunity for questions, clarifications, and obligation.

a) Learning Objectives:
Attendees will deepen understanding of moral principles and their application; consider any tension they
experience between competing moral guidelines, and identify tools to resolve these conflicts when they
occur.

6) Biographical sketch:
E. Feigenbaum, Ph.D. is the Director of Ethics and Research at CAM PPO of America, Inc. where her
primary role is maintaining oversight of the credentialing requirements and related policy changes.
Before joining CAM PPO, Dr. Feigenbaum taught in the fields of ethics, public affairs, comparative
world philosophy at Wells College, Case Western Reserve University, and other institutions. She holds a
graduate certificate of Advanced Studies in Bioethics and completed her interdisciplinary doctoral work at
The Union Institute University in 2004.
