1 Denition
With the feature Fixed Destination Call (FDC) the subscriber can set up a call to a predefined destination by lifting the handset, without dialing any directory number. The subscriber can choose between two feature variants: Fixed Destination Call, immediate Fixed Destination Call, delayed Fixed Destination Call immediate Network node fixed call calling subscriber called subscriber

Fixed Destination Call delayed Network node

2 Mode of operation
When the feature Fixed Destination Call (FDC) is activated for a subscriber, outgoing calls are switched through to a predefined destination. The subscriber can choose between two feature variants: Fixed Destination Call, immediate The operator activates and deactivates the feature by entering the called directory number. By lifting the handset (without dialing a directory number) the calling subscriber immediately establishes a connection to the called subscriber. Fixed Destination Call, delayed Activation, deactivation and input of the called directory number are carried out by the operator or by the subscriber by means of subscriber controlled input. This should always be done upon rst activation. The subscriber can check from his or her terminal whether the feature has been activated. With this variant, the calling subscriber has 5 seconds after lifting the handset to either dial a directory number or initiate a subscriber controlled input, thereby deactivating the feature. If this time elapses without a new input being made, the connection to the called directory number entered will be established automatically. The called directory number can have up to 24 digits and may not contain any special characters. It must be a complete directory number (partial dialing not permitted). With a new input, an existing called directory number is overwritten. Fixed destination calls are treated the same as normal calls.

3 Subscriber controlled input

The feature Fixed Destination Call, delayed can be administrated by subscriber controlled input. For the subscriber procedure, see: Analog subscriber ISDN subscriber GeoCENTREX Analog subscriber ISDN subscriber Subscriber controlled input functions Signaling method Analog Pulse Activate Deactivate Enter data Delete data Enter data and activate Delete data and deactivate Activate with/without data Feature use Status request Data request Status request with/without data Access code The access code for subscriber controlled input consists of a maximum of 6 characters or, for GeoCENTREX subscribers, a maximum of 5 characters. It can be formed from the symbols 5 , # and the service code (SC) with the digits 0 to 9. The operator can specify the character strings for the access code. Differences by pulse dialing The selected digits are not obligatory; other digits can be input (depending on the existing numbering plan). 1111 at the beginning of an input in place of 5 1112 at the beginning of an input in place of # 1113 at the beginning of an input in place of 5 # 5 as a disconnecting signal after the service code, not relevant # after the subscriber controlled input, not relevant X X X X X X X X X X X DTMF X X X X X X X X X X X ISDN Keypad X X X X X X X X X X X Funct. --------------X -------
