(United States) based Microsoft Corporation, one of the software giants has got their headquarter in New Delhi. Starting its operation in the country from 1990, this company has got the following business units:

SAMSUNG Samsung Group a South Korean multinational conglomerate company headquartered in Samsung Town, Seoul. It comprises numerous subsidiaries and an affiliated business, most of them united under the Samsung brand, and is the largest South Korean chaebol. Samsung was founded by Lee Kun-hee in 1938 as a trading company. Over the next three decades the group diversified into areas including food processing, textiles, insurance, securities and retail. Mnc-Samsung India Samsung India has its headquarter in Delhi and is a portion of Samsung's South West Asia Regional operations. It has around 55 sales and marketing units located all over India and enjoys a sales turn over of more than USD 1 billion which it achieved in just few years.

Mr. H.B. Lee is the president and CEO of the South West Asia headquarters of Samsung and is also involved in monitoring the production units located in Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. He looks after the business units in India as well. The manufacturing unit of Samsung India is largely involved in manufacturing color televisions, refrigerators, color monitors, and also washing machines. The manufacturing unit of Samsung India has been set up in Noida, near Delhi. The products that are exclusively manufactured by the manufacturing unit of Samsung in India, that is the Noida unit, are exported to the foreign countries especially in the Middle East and CIS and SAARC countries. Samsung India has another manufacturing unit located at Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu. This unit provides uniquely modernized manufacturing facilities in its production of Color and LCD televisions. These are absolutely technology-based products of Samsung India that undergo newer innovations with every passing year.The Noida complex of Samsung India ranks first in the production level among all other Samsung subsidiaries as it possesses an exclusively modernized and automated manufacturing facility. Samsung India is training its marketing team to develop the skills of eco-partnership with the aim to incorporate the eco-friendly attribute in its products as per the ROHS norms. The company is working hard for the amelioration of its product quality and processing activities that will contribute largely in the domestic component industry in India. The localization range of Samsung India at present is more than 50 percent.

Another very major product manufactured by Samsung India is its IT solutions that include mobile computing solutions, visual display solutions as well as storage and multimedia solutions, and also printing solutions. Working of Samsung in India Samsungs emphasis on Product Innovation and R&D has given the Company a competitive edge in the marketplace. Samsung has two R&D Centres in India: Samsung India Software Centre (SISC) at Noida, near Delhi and Samsung India Software operations unit (SISO) in

Bangalore. While the Samsung India Software Centre develops software solutions for hi-end televisions such as Plasma TVs, LCD TVs and Digital Media Products, the Samsung India Software operations works on major projects for Samsung Electronics in the area of telecom, wireless terminals and infrastructure, Networking, SoC (System on Chip) Digital Printing and other multimedia/digital media as well as application software.

Samsung India additionally carries out R&D for product hardware at its Noida R&D Centre. The focus of the Centre is to customise both audio visual and home appliance products to better meet the needs of Indian consumers. From Flat Televisions with 'Easy View' technology to Frost Free Refrigerators with Stabiliser Free Operations, the Samsung R&D Centres in India help the Company to continuously innovate and introduce products customised for the Indian consumer.
