Aims
Vehicle Design & Modelling Project Produce a Vehicle model suitable for Animation Composite finished model onto an animation background

The Setting
Alternative world (to avoid any issues with real-world limitations) Animation about an armoured train patrolling a stretch of railway across a tundra (something like the central plain of Canada, or Siberia) The train is crewed by a band of misfits, as the military command use it as a dumping ground for the people they dont want in the army, but cant get rid of.

The Train
Relatively old train, used because its available and the train isnt considered important Armaments have been retrofitted to try and modernise the firepower. Because the crew have been living in it for quite a while, they have put their own personal touches on it. The train carries a maintenance vehicle and a scout vehicle (used by the crew for foraging, etc) to increase the narrative possibilites.

The Crew
The Commander - Assigned to the train because of a tendency to question orders; actually a good officer, with a relaxed attitude to discipline as long as the job gets done, he doesnt care about how. The Driver - Has been with the train for as long as it has existed; tends to view the newer crew as ill-disciplined children. Regarded as a sort of grumpy uncle by most of the crew. The Mechanic - Responsible for keeping the train and vehicles running. Assigned to train because they like to try and improve military equipment without permission. The Chief Gunner - Female soldier who successfully fought for right to fight in front line role; assigned to train as retaliation. Regarded by most of the crew as rather too keen on explosions and guns.

The Medic -

Doubles as the cook; assigned to train because of an incident in which they disobeyed direct orders to save a wounded soldier. Wounded soldier turned out to be son of senior general, so medic couldnt be court-martialed; sent to serve on train as punishment instead. Communication Officer - Fluent in several languages, highly skilled radio operator, sent to train because they kept using military radio to pick up radio programs from back home. Scout Vehicle Driver - Assigned to train after disappearing for 3 days on a scouting mission; on return, it transpired that they had snuck around behind enemy lines, locating key weak points. Likes the outdoors & exploring, but not good at following orders. There are of course other crew; these are just the main ones that the story revolves around.
