Purpose:Performs assist and handles PLC repair with more complex and difficult technical crane repairs. Total Number of Employees reporting to this Position: Nil 1. Ensures and handles the troubleshooting of the AC Invertors Brand GE, SIEMENS, FUJI and handle /reading properly in each manual with correct information, setting of the control parameters, transfer information thru the communication buses between PLC / INVERTER'S and CMS (crane monitoring system 2. Ensures and handles the troubleshooting of the DC DRIVES GE 2000 and handle /reading all the manual information 3. Ensures and handles the troubleshooting of the PLC's Brand GE, SIEMENS, FUJI, and handle /reading all the manual information 4. Fully aware of PLC for KOP, SCL, AWL, DB, LADER, and others programs language, transfer information thru the communication buses to the drivers and CMS. 5. Need to have full experience in Motor regenerative systems by IGBT and Thyristors control. 6. Full aware of Motor speed control by closed loop / Open loop / Torque. 7. Fully aware of Drives ONDULATOR System (as Siemens AFE) 8. Fully aware of Load Cell and Anemometer System scale setting and adjust. 9. Has approved instrumentation knowledge and measure of the field on the electric /electronic power. 10. Ensures and have full awareness of the integration for the Hydraulics / Pneumatics systems as the proportional control valves, Hydraulics Cylinders positioning systems, reading hydraulics and Pneumatic Diagrams. 11. Ensure that all administrative under his supervision are carried out in accordance to company policies, rules and regulation. 12. Ensure that all electronic maintenance, repair and procedures are carried out in accordance with the equipment manufacturer/customer specification and requirement in effective cost manner. 13. Ensure that all maintenance and repair documentation, paperwork are correctly raised controlled and completed in accordance with an approved engineering procedures prior to releasing any equipment back to service. 14. Encourage and promote omanisation throughout career development policies and training. 15. Ensure that an adequate system of recording maintenance/repair and inspection and task is employed and controlled in professional way.

16. Coordinate with other sections of the department and with other department to ensure that all electronic section requirements are efficiently and effectively met in timely manner. 17. Constantly review and recommend updates to engineering policies and procedure relevant to other section in order to achieve the high level production and budgetary targets. 18. Ensure safe maintenance practices and good housekeeping standard are maintained to meet the high level production. 19. Review all reported defects as applicable to his section on daily basis and develop corrective measures. 20. Responsible for warranty obligation as applicable to all equipment under his supervision and as defined in all contracts where SPS is a party on it. Submit them to the Electrical manager for proper action. 21. Organize and coordinate all materials, equipment, tools and manpower requirements in efficient manner. 22. Ensure all incidents, accidents and occurrences and applicable to electrical section are properly investigated, recorded, reported and correctly attended. Develop and implement preventive measures in coordination with the concerned department. 23. Review and develop company in house maintenance/repair capabilities for electrical and mechanical build in terminal equipment in cost effective manner. 24. Monitor repetitive defects and ensure appropriate corrective action taken. 25. Monitor overall performance of the electronic section and conduct and submit the annual appraisal for the staff under him to Technical Management to review and action. 26. Provide assistance in Fuel Station software programme as and when necessary. 27. Performs any other related activities, as requested. Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Education: Requires Degree in Electronic-Electrical Engineering. Member in Institution of Engineer of a reputed country. Member of IEE. Any additional seminars related to electrical engineering. 2. Experience: Requires at least five to seven years in the electronic and PLC field of construction, Consultancy as well as customer supervision. 3. Specialized Knowledge: a. Requires specific technical knowledge of maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment, in general. b. Must be able to prepare bill of material, vendor section, and inspection of materials and commissioning of large electrical projects. c. Must have knowledge of general supervisory principles.. d. Must have a working knowledge of supervisory and leadership principles, with the ability to influence other team members in a positive way and lead a department of individuals. 4. Skills: a. Must be able to demonstrate leadership and influencing skills. b. Must be able to exercise good judgment in order to set priorities. c. Requires excellent supervisory skills, including planning, organizing, and directing work. d. Must be customer service oriented, sensitive to the needs of the departments and others. e. Requires good verbal and written communications skills in English, in addition to effective interpersonal skills. f. Requires exceptional time management, due to fast-moving, demanding work environment. g. Requires Omani drivers license, with good driving record. 5. Equipment and Applications: a. Must be able to use a desktop and laptop computer with ease.

Work Environment and Physical Demands 1. Work environment consists of crane maintenance workshop and the crane equipment. 2. Must be able to work in rotating shifts, days, evenings, and nights. Requires overtime work, and work on holidays and weekends, depending upon shift schedule. Work week is six days per week, 48 hours of regularly scheduled hours. 3. Required to observe all safety and health requirements for work areas. 3. Must have professional appearance, consistent with local customs and work area.
