please let me know. Russia was not active in international women'shockey until just 1994. They started their national team at the beginning ofJanuary 1994 in St. Petersburg. Here is a link about the History of Women'sIce Hockey in Russia.During the 93-94 and 94-95 seasons, their national team toured North Americato gain experience. In 1995, they competed in the European B Championshipfor the first time, and won the gold medal! This means that they arepromoted to the European A Championship for 1996. The 1996 European AChampionship was held in Russia.I have two very short information files on the Russian national team, from1994 and 1995, respectively.

This means that Russia will compete at the 1997World Championship, which will be held in Kitchener, Canada.
