Who are we?

Child Welfare Reform and Family Support Association
was born out of a simple yet very important vision and realization. that nothing is perfect and a person that cares about children and families shouldnt stop trying to perfect institutions that are set up to support and help them. The very idea of reform is to change and so we are first and foremost a reform association. we seek to change the system from within and fully expect a seat at the table so that we can be part of the solution. Second and what sets us apart here, is our desire to be a source of much needed support to families that are experiencing some portion of the child welfare system, whether its a investigation into the care giving efforts of the parents to the children being taken and ensuing dependency process, to at home dependencies which are thankfully gaining a little respect in the system and a slowly growing piece of the child welfare dollars pie. Our primary goal is to keep families together so that they can support healthy communities. While we realize some families just cant stay together, we fell the norm shouldn't be broken family becoming more broken by a system set up to help it succeed.
