Brooke Hensons Childcare Packet

Phone number: 702-509-0343

Hi there, first off I want to thank you for taking the time out to meet with me! I made this packet to kind of show you what I have to offer if I were to get this position. It will show you the activities that you might like me to do with your kids. If there is something that you would not like to see please let me know. Every day, there will be an activity of some sort to keep the children entertained. Its summer, why not have some fun!

Ive had around 4 years of childcare; however that does not include time that was unpaid. I also helped teach a Sunday school class for ages 7-12 year olds for about two years. When my sister was adopted I babysat for my parents until I moved out of the house. Even when I was not living with my parents I would come over and help. I moved to Florida when I was 19 and took up a few nanny positions (References can be found on the reference page at the end of this packet!) I watched several kids, sometimes multiple families who lived around the neighborhood. Ages varying from 3-10. I then moved to Illinois and worked with only one family during my time there. I have worked with several families here as well. One 5 year old boy and other family with 7 and 9 year old boys as well. I am not currently in school yet, since I just moved but in the fall I would like to go back to school for Early Childhood Development! In high school I graduated in the top 10 in my class, with a Regents diploma. I do not have any children but I do have a little dachshund named Princess Peach.

If there is anything else you would like to know, please feel free to ask!

Ive done some research on some things that are age appropriate that will hopefully keep the kiddos entertained while you are at work I have a calendar attached that is just an example of something that we will do during the day. Ill explain the calendar a bit more a little later on! All activities are ages 3+

-Fun Bag Each day, I bring a bag with goodies! It can have various items from books, games, crafts, stickers and many other items to keep them entertained that are age appropriate! -Activities Calendar! On the next page, it will explain the calendar and show an example. -Arts & Crafts Some crafts that I have done in the past range from Personality hands, collages, peek-a-boo boxes, making books, scrap books, piggy banks, painting and much more! -Creative Learning -Hands on game center Variety of games that I have made, gets the kids thinking about reading, writing, math skills, science and colors! (Different games are available for younger children!) -The Children's IPOD! It has a bunch of learning games, coloring books and more installed on it! Hey! Kids needs to be technology savvy these days ;)

Below is a calendar. This is just an example. Each day there will be an activity listed such as Wear Purple Day! On the back of the calendar there will be an explanation of each activity. I like to do this so the kids have something to look forward to each day and it gives us a variety of activities to do. I will give you a calendar on the first day of the month, we can go over the activities and if you do not like something, then you can let me know and Ill fix it! Youre encouraged to put the calendar somewhere where the kids can see it and be prepared for the next day.
