The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he said to him, Follow me.

Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. 45 Philip found Nathanael and told him, We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wroteJesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

Nazareth! Can anything good come from there? Nathanael asked.

Come and see, said Philip.

When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.

How do you know me? Nathanael asked. Then Nathanael declared, Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.

Jesus answered, I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.

Jesus said, You believe[h] because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that. 51 He then added, Very truly I tell you,[i] you[j] will see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on[k]the Son of Man.

Jesus knew that whatever He spoke to, would rise up in people. We, people tend to speak to and about the flesh, depicting every crack, spot and dent in the other persons character: If you put this thing right and change that, then I will let you in my circle and accept you.

God is not like that. HE speaks to the treasure in a person and releases it from the captivity of the flesh. HE extracts the precious from the worthless. We do the opposite; we take the trash and see whats left. BUT, if we spoke to the treasure in people, that treasure will move to the surface of their lives, from the hidden to the obvious. When people see their own worth, they get rid of their own carnality Lets not allow our view of the worthless obscure that which is precious about a person Now, when we see ourselves as God sees us, we automatically start seeing others differently. If we look at a particular person very carefully, we will find the treasure God has put in that person It is there, somewhere. We just have to keep looking.

At your service, he replied. 4. 2 Samuel 9:8 Mephibosheth bowed down and said, What is your servant, that you should notice a dead dog like me? 5. 2 Samuel 9:10 You and your sons and your servants are to farm the land for him and bring in the crops, so that your masters grandson may be provided for. And Mephibosheth, grandson of your master, will always eat at my table.
