TRAINING

Ab Initio Training
Upset recovery training must be included Simulator time can be excellent training time Flying Hours is not a guarantee of competency

Type Training
Competency Based Training More manual flight training must be included FFS is the appropriate tool

Recurrent Training
EBT will help in optimizing the training effectiveness More manual flying time needed

CONCLUSION
Automation has developed big benefits Manual Flying skills are still very important Continuous attention is needed in all phases of the pilot training to
develop these competencies

Type training must balance all aspects: CRM, automation, manual

flying.

A350 training will reflect the latest thinking on this balance
