I t w as, when on t h a t jo u r n e y , t h a t he r e a c h e d F a r t h e r I n d i a , whence he b r o u g h t b a c k th e I n d i a n g o s p e l s i n r e l a t i o n t o th e Hindoo god C h r i s t o s . The f i r s t jo u r n e y t o I n d i a , by A p o l l o n i u s , was a b o u t from 36 t o 38 A.D. On t h a t jo u r n e y he o n ly o b t a i n e d a few e x t r a c t s from th o s e Hindoo g o s p e l s . The f i r s t a tt e m p t o f A p o llo n iu s t o i n t r o d u c e th e r e l i g i o n o f C h r i s t o s i n W e ste rn A s ia was made s h o r t l y a f t e r h i s r e t u r n from I n d i a , a t N a z a r i t a , a s m a ll v i l l a g e n e a r Gaza. He t h e r e form ed a community a c c o r d i n g t o th e Gymnosophic id e a s and p r a c t i c e s . "The p r i n c i p l e of I n i t i a t i o n i s e x p r e s s e d i n t h a t famous t e x t of what i s term ed th e S c r i p t u r e s where i t i s s a i d , 'Thou a r t a p r i e s t a f t e r th e o r d e r o f M e l c h is e d e c . I passed in to s p i r i t a b o u t 90 A.D. I w rote th e memoirs of A p o llo n iu s from a b o u t 34 A.D. t o 80 A.D. The G reek f o l l o w e r s of P rom etheus m u t i l a t e d th o s e m em oirs. They were g r e a t l y opposed t o th e i n t r o d u c t i o n of th e I n d i a n C h r i s t o s among th e G re e k s, and were e x c e e d i n g l y opposed t o A p o llo n iu s and h i s t e a c h i n g s . THE REAL PAUL (PAULUS, APOLLONIUS) "A p o llo n iu s and m y s e lf were y o u t h f u l companions when I was a t Tyana.
