NC Rising Thank You Tuesday, May 31, 2011 4:45:55 PM

I wanted to let everyone know how appreciative I am for the help you provided over the weekend during coverage of NC Rising 3. The operational plan was executed perfectly and a tremendous amount of intelligence was gathered on a large number of anarchists from around the country. The intelligence gathered this weekend will be distributed and used by law enforcement agencies around the country to monitor and prosecute anarchists for their criminal activities. Im still sorting through the intel (and will be for a few weeks) but the preliminary numbers look like this: Approximately 48 vehicles photographed and identified Approximately 90 Anarchists from 10 different states photographed including several anarchists on the FBIs Domestic Terrorist Watch List Numerous NC anarchists from Greensboro, High Point, Charlotte, Chapel Hill/Carrboro, and Asheville that have been identified by law enforcement for the first time Several Anarchist safe houses in Greensboro identified Invaluable intelligence relating to planned anarchist disruptions of the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC in 2012

The anarchists were keenly aware of our presence and made mention of it during every session of the conference. They griped about how thoroughly they were being monitored and stated several times that they will not be having another anarchist event in Greensboro because of the law enforcement attention they received. Our coverage over the weekend also directly resulted in zero reported incidents of violence or vandalism. With 90 anarchists in town for 3 days, that is an amazing stat. Asheville and Carrboro didnt fair nearly as well with a much smaller number of attendees. The surveillance and photographs were top shelf, the vehicle stops were top shelf and the intelligence you guys gathered was extremely thorough. Thank you very much for all the help!

Rob, I attended the General Assembly Meeting on Saturday. A Representative from Occupy Greensboro showed up. Also in attendance was a subject claiming he was from Greensboro, who went on a tirade regarding Sovereign Citizenship, the lack of a need for a license, and that you only get beat up by the Police if you "consent" to it. I have attached a picture of this subject. He never gave his name, but was hardcore pressing his Sovereignty agenda. He was quickly shut down by the organizers and the subject immediately divided the group. There were approximately 10 people that showed interest in the idea of sovereignty. This is out of approximately 150 people. If you recognize him, please share the info if you can. He had a female with him, and a younger male (son?). He is the subject in the red/black shirt, black pants, with silver chain. B/M, Bald, Gotee He arrived in a large black Toyota Tundra truck with tinted windows. GA tag: BCX4386. There is going to be an Occupy Greensboro Meeting on Monday, October 10, at 6:30pm at the Glenwood Coffee and Book Store. I am sure this subject will be there also. Also, If you look up David M. Steinbeck, his profile picture is the relatively same picture with mask used by "Anonymous NC". At the last Anarchy Meeting someone was trying to identify the subject. It could be this guy. In Winston they are planning on Protesting at Duke Power in Charlotte on Tuesday, Wells Fargo on Thursday, and Bank of America on Sunday. As of this time, the website, Facebook page, and other social media they use are posting our City Ordinances regarding noise and picketing. Hopefully it continues to be a respectful and decent movement. Hope any of this helps. Battjes
