OBJECTIVES To assist fish producers find good market (local and abroad) for their products. To continuously develop strategies for effective and efficient fisheries promotion through participation to various trade fairs and exhibits

V. DESCRIPTION Promotion of fish and fishery products is carried out in two defined ways: (1) maintaining a display center/showroom for fish and fishery products; and (2) participation to trade fairs and exhibits. FIDSD maintains a display area of fish and fishery products in the Division. The display center serves as hub for the development of fishery products to becoming competitive and marketable; for finding a good market for emerging products, especially for small-scale producers. It also facilitates the ever-ready participation to trade fairs and exhibits of FIDSD and prompt service to public consumers and other interested parties. Activities herein, include: participation to local and international trade fairs & exhibits; production of promotional materials (flyers, brochures/IECs); conduct of techno-Demo during trade fairs & exhibits; maintenance & management of fisheries display center/showroom and manpower development through attendance to marketing-related seminars and conferences.
