TERMINAL AUTOMATION SYSTEMS

A national leader in Portugal and main supplier of loading control systems. Responsible for 5 of the largest facilities in Portugal, one of them with more than 20 loading bays and loading hundreds of trucks per day. Among the main customers are companies like BP PORTUGUESA, CEPSA, LBC TANK TERMINALS, PETROGAL and PRIO ENERGY.

TANK INVENTORY SYSTEMS

Level monitoring and tank inventory systems installed in PETROGAL refinery at Leixes (30,000 m3 in 54 tanks with volumes between 50 and 4.000 m3) and PRIO ENERGY tank farm at Aveiro port (75.890 m3 in 18 tanks from 2 to 16.500 m3). It may be installed as a stand alone system or else integrated with the TAS (Terminal Automation System) for a more comprehensive control of all movements of goods.

ACCESS CONTROL
Together with the terminal automation and the loading control systems it is also possible to implement the access control. This option is currently working in Sines and Leixes refineries and in Setbal, Barreiro and Aveiro tank farms and it incorporates technologies such as biometric recognition and automatic number plate recognition. Additionally, CCTV and intercom systems can also be installed.

COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
Singlemode and multimode fiber optic networks implemented at:
Sines Refinery Oil terminal at port of Sines (18 Km) ARTLANT terminal at Sines (8 Km) Leixes Refinery EuroResinas (SONAE group) at Sines PRIO ENERGY tank farm at Aveiro

Intercom systems, alphanumeric displays, remote serial communications over long distances, etc. can be implemented by using different kinds of fiber optic converters

SYSTEMS INTEGRATION
Plexus performs the systems integration of previously mentioned ones and other less frequent ones.

The company is transversal and performs turnkey projects with its own personal and means making the supply, instalation, programming, commissioning and start-up, from the cable trays, through the automation and up to the control systems.
