The defendant, in violation of Section 565.020, RSMo, committed the class A felony of murder in the first degree punishable upon conviction under Section 565.020, RSMo, in that on or about February 12, 2013 at 11:34 PM, in the City of St. Louis, State of Missouri, the defendant after deliberation, knowingly caused the death of C.C. by shooting him.

PROBABLE CAUSE STATEMENT DATE: February 15, 2013 I, Roger Murphey, a law enforcement officer for the City of St. Louis, State of Missouri, knowing that false statements on this form are punishable by law, state that the facts contained herein are true. 1. I have probable cause to believe that Akira Edmonds, a Black Male DOB: XX/XX/88 Age: 24, committed one or more criminal offense(s). Count 1: Murder In The First Degree (Class A FELONY) RSMo 565.020 ON 2/12/2013 Time: 11:34 PM Place: 2XX WASHINGTON AVE (SCC 10021) Count 2: Armed Criminal Action (FELONY) RSMo 571.015 ON 2/12/2013 Time: Place: 2XX WASHINGTON AVE 2. The facts supporting this belief are as follows: The victim and defendant were acquaintances. The victim and the defendant went out together the evening of February 12, 2013. During the course of the evening the defendant and the victim had a disagreement. While the victim was walking down the Metrolink platform the defendant followed him. The defendant shot the victim multiple times. The victim died as a result of the gunshot wounds. (SCC 31010)
