Solution Architect skills for IBM WebSphere Business Process Management V7 Products

Role The solution architect is expected to articulate the business and technical values of business process management (BPM), to help determine return on investment, to be familiar with new industry standards and design patterns, and be able to craft BPM solutions using existing assets and new components. Such an architect should also understand and be able to contribute to governance issues related to service development, deployment and management within the organization. The solution architect works with the business analyst to analyze a particular business process or business requirement and is responsible for the design and coordination of a new solution, application, or component based on the specified functional and nonfunctional business requirements as captured in the business model. The solution architect refines the business model using design patterns, performing model transformations and using reusable assets in the design. This model is provided to the rest of the development team, who construct the system according to the specification. Assumptions It is assumed that the individual following this roadmap has basic skills in the following areas: Understands the overall technical goals of the business and the current hardware and software inventory and capabilities Understands industry patterns and approaches to creating solutions Understands solutions or technologies that map to company needs, as well as prerequisites and hardware and software requirements Objectives After completing this training, the student should be able to: Model business process designs and system architectures with IBM WebSphere Business Modeler Build and deploy process integration solutions using IBM WebSphere Process Server, WebSphere Integration Developer, and WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus Use advanced techniques for developing integration solutions using the WebSphere Integration Developer tool Implement and administer IBM WebSphere Business Monitor Install, configure, and administer IBM WebSphere Process Server Assemble and manage modular and flexible composite business applications with IBM WebSphere Business Services Fabric Customize IBM WebSphere Service Registry and Repository to suit the service-oriented architecture (SOA) governance model within an organization Design and develop a basic WebSphere Business Events (WBE) application START HERE...
