PLAN FOR EXECUTION OF CIVIL WORKS

1. General : Immediately after receiving the LOI to proceed with the work our planning department will prepare a detailed plan for execution of work based on planning / approved construction drawings. This includes identifying all activities of work along with the quantities, sequencing these activities in an orderly way so as to meet the mile stones set by the clients. All the schedules, bar charts, net work programmes etc will be submitted to clients and got approved before proceeding with the work. Requirement of materials, equipment, man power, finance and other resources to be deployed will be identified month wise and arrangements will be made to deploy the same. Progress of work will be reviewed fortnightly and monthly as agreed and corrective action will be taken if any slippages noticed. Soft ware package like MS Projects / primavera will be used for planning and monitoring. Works will be monitored from site office as well as Head Office by exclusive teams.

2. Design and Detailed Engineering: Soon after receiving LOI from clients site survey, geotechnical investigations and preliminary designs shall be commenced. Based on the early soil reports and site data, we shall submit the preliminary designs and general arrangement drawings for clients approvals. Simultaneously we shall start detailed engineering and preparation of construction drawings. Construction drawings based on the GA drawings shall be submitted progressively to the Employer for approval. After the approval drawings will be issued for construction. Drawings / records shall also be prepared for any modifications carried out during construction and the same shall be got approved.

3. Survey Work: Entire survey work will be carried by deploying modern survey instruments like Total Station, Theodolites, levels etc. Survey work will be carried out by qualified and experienced surveyors.

4. Concreting : Design mixes of various grades of concrete will be got prepared either at site or from any approved near by laboratories after jointly identifying the sources of aggregates. Automated Batching Plant of required capacity will be established at site for production of concrete. Concrete will be transported and placed using transit mixers, pumps, etc as per the requirement. Tremie pipes will be used for pouring concrete in the bore. Concrete shall be brought above cut off level as indicated in TS/ Drawings. Concrete quantity actually poured will be compared with theoretical quantity. Since concreting is a very critical item, enough care will be taken by deploying stand by equipment, spares, mechanics etc so that concrete is available continuously for the works. 5. Shuttering : Enough shuttering (steel or ply as required) and centering materials shall be deployed at site taking into consideration the stripping cycle period. Required number of experienced carpenters shall be mobilized. 6. Reinforcement : Bar cutting and bending machines shall be used for cutting and bending the reinforcement bars. Required number of experienced bar benders shall be deployed for placing. Mobile cranes will be used for local transportation of reinforcement bars / assembled cages.

7. Equipment Erection & Testing : All the equipment erection work shall be carried out as per the approved procedures. Alignment of equipment shall be checked as per the specifications. Welding shall be carried out by certified welders and all the welding work at site. Testing and commissioning shall be done as per TS/Manufacturers recommendation and also as per the approved procedures. All the test results shall be documented as per agreed formats.

8. Safety : We have an internal HSE policy and we shall take utmost care in ensuring the safety methods by deploying exclusive safety team for implementation of safety methods.

All the workers and staff shall be provided with safety shoes, helmets, safety belts etc. Qualified and experienced operators will be engaged for operating electromechanical equipment. Adequate lighting will be provided for working in the night.

9. Quality : All the quality plans and procedures will be prepared in advance and the same will be got approved by clients. We have an internal quality policy which will ensure the required quality to the client within the time and cost. After our checking and internal inspection, works will be offered to clients for inspection / approvals at various stages ( like pile location, dia of boring, depth of boring, termination strata, socketing depth, cut off levels etc ) and the necessary quality records shall be maintained as per the approved formats.
