If a Product has a Gold Seal is it Better?____

WQA-certied products pass rigorous certication tests validating their performance claims. These products meet the demanding standards of NSF-44.

What is the WQA Gold Seal? ______________

WQAs gold seal is the symbol WQA uses to denote a certied water-treatment product. The Gold-Seal Certication Program is solely dedicated to certication of water-treatment products. A WQA Gold Seal guarantees a product is certied by an independent third-party to meet or exceed industry standards.

What Tests are Performed? ________________

Products certied by WQA Gold Seal go through arduous testing to evaluate the performance and integrity of the product: Material Safety ensures the materials used in the product will not contribute contaminants to the drinking water Chemical Performance measures contaminant reduction capabilities over the life and/or capacity of the unit. Structural Integrity ensures the product will withstand 10 years of normal household use. Reviews are conducted to ensure the product literature supplied to consumers meets WQAs code of ethics, is congruent with the test results, and contains the required information outlined in the standard.

Whats WQA and NSF? ____________________

WQA stands for Water Quality Association. The WQA is an independent certication organization, striving to ensure quality water. NSF International, founded in 1944 as the National Sanitation Foundation, is known for the development of standards, product testing and certication services in the areas of public health, safety, and protection of the environment. WQA certies to NSF standards, which is why you see WQA-Certied products to NSF-44 standards.

Why Use an NSF-44-Certified System?______

As consumers are educated to look for, and understand NSF certication, they will choose equipment with the NSF seal. They can be assured the equipment will perform as outlined in the sales literature.

Are TechneticPlus and WQA Related?_______

No. WQA and TechneticPlus are completely separate organizations. TechneticPlus submitted products to the WQA for a blind certication (product testing team has no relation to person or company submitting the product to prevent bias). WQA then tested the products to ensure product standards and contacted TechneticPlus to allow them to use the WQA Gold Seal.
