MALE TENOR SINGER

The tenor is a type of male singing voice and is the highest male voice within the modal
register. The typical tenor voice lies between the C one octave below middle C (C3) to
the A above (A4) in choral music, and up to high C (C5) in solo work. The low extreme
for tenors is roughly B♭2 (two B♭s below middle C). At the highest extreme, some
tenors can sing up to two Fs above middle C (F5).[1]

A bass is a type of classical male singing voice and possesses the lowest vocal range of
all voice types. According to The New Grove Dictionary of Opera, a bass is typically
classified as having a range extending from around the F two octaves below middle C to
the E above middle C (i.e., F2–E4), with a tessitura, or comfortable range, normally
ranging between the outermost lines of the bass clef.

Baritone (or barytone; French: baryton; German: Bariton; Italian: baritono) is a type of
classical male singing voice that lies between the bass and tenor voices. It is the most
common male voice. Originally from the Greek βαρυτονος, meaning 'deep (or heavy)
sounding', music for this voice is typically written in the range from the second F below
middle C to the F above middle C (i.e. F2-F4) in choral music, and to G above middle C
(i.e. F2-G4) in operatic music, though it can be extended at either end. It is one octave
below the mezzo-soprano voice range in women.

A soprano is a singing voice with a vocal range (using scientific pitch notation, where
middle C = C4) from approximately (C4) to "high A" (A5) in choral music, or to "soprano
C" (C6, two octaves above middle C) or higher in operatic music. In four part chorale
style harmony the soprano takes the highest part which usually encompasses the
melody.[1] For other styles of singing see Voice classification in non-classical music.
