ELGT received further funding from CSGN Development Fund for 2011/12 This was for the delivery and implementation of temporary greenspace projects in Edinburgh. A partnership between the Port of Leith Housing Association, Forth Ports, Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust, and City of Edinburgh Council formed to explore how best to facilitate positive changes through the use of temporary greenspace.

The proposed site has been identified by the group based on the following: 1. Key location, next to existing community and residents. 2. Visibility adjacent seen from the Western Harbour Drive bus route and overlooked by residents on Windrush Drive. 3. Desire lines a route between local facilities and nearby housing cuts across this site, again bringing people into relationship with the site.
