Centuries ago this warrior needed to train the best possible way for war, to do this they trained in the Ninja Juhakkei (18 skills). Many people say that they are ninja, and claim that they are ninja, but do not completely train in the 18 skills of the ninja. BUDO RYU TAIJUTSU TAI KAI 2010

Last month we held an annual Budo Ryu Taijutsu Tai Kai, this is free to all of the students of the school! In this training session I wasted to stress to the students that growth is very important. This is not just with bujutsu or kata, but with ourselves. To get my point across I tool an easy technique like stepping to the outside of a punch and for the next four hours I changed it slightly making so many henka that there was a point that the students forgot that they were starting with the same strategy or kata every time. This is the same as life, we wake up every day, but the little changes that we see daily and how we do with these changed determines the journey of the day! . This was the point of the training session even though you are stepping to the outside of an attack, the outcome is completely different every time with the slightest of movement. There is an old saying "When the Way comes to an end, then change - having changed, you pass through." - I Ching To me this is sums up the training of the event. We have to stay in control the whole movement, just as we have to be in control the whole technique. Some of the techniques we are in complete control and we finish knowing the whole situation, some for the techniques end on themselves because of the way that the opponent moves, and in this we have no control over that movement, yet the moment is over,..this too is part of the life that we all have to face. We also offer Weapon Training Programs for those that only want to learn the art of Kobujutsu (old warrior arts of ancient weapons). YES WEAPONS ARE INCLUDED IN THE COMPLETE BLACK BELT PROGRAM, but there are many out there that already study a form of martial arts such as karate, kempo, kung fu, krav maga, etc, etc and just want to add some weapons training to their current training program! We do offer many differnet weapons to choose from, each one has it own aspects and method in war. I know that many programs will place 5-10 weapons on one DVD in under 90mins and say that is how to use the weapon, here we cannot do that, because we do not want to cheat the student from acheiving their goals in the martial arts!
