After searching the net for a reliable RTR brushless powered RC car, I came across the Traxxas Bandit VXL. The
reasonable price and the sheer power of it(saw from videos) attracted me to buy one. So I did, it got delivered to
my house, I opened it, put finishing touches(stickers), and put a 7cell 8.4v 4200maH NiMH battery. I programmed
the ESC to sport mode and turned off the low voltage safety, indicated by the LED turning red. The ESC has built-in
safety features: Two-stage thermal shutdown, Locked Rotor Protection, Sensor Phase Detection, Sensored Motor
Backup protection, Battery Over-Voltage Protection and the water resistant case. At this point, I had no idea how
fast this thing goes. I eased up the throttle and only made it about 3/4 throttle(ran out of space) and whooo!!! it
goes like hell. So the next pass, I managed to run it at full throttle and baaaammmmm!!!it passed so fast it stunned
a lady trying to cross the parking lot. I remember her saying "What is that thing?!, it's quick" with a kind of scared
look in her eyes. I apologized to the poor lady. From then on, I look both ways before full throttling my crazy fast
car. I like the high-pitch sound it makes, it warns others of its speed. It's nice to hear that brushless 10turn 3500kv
motor spinning. After about 30minutes of pure hell fun, the car slowed down and stopped. I took out the battery
and stored it in my basement. And there the car lays with its warm motor and ESC cooling off in the cold
basement. Overall this car has a reasonable price for its speed and power, and the stuff it came with(tools,
manuals, etc.). The fun lasted with a long run time of 30minutes(felt like seconds). I greatly recommend this RC car
to anyone switching to brushless, especially for beginners because the car's ESC has a training mode. Man!, the
car is amazingly quick, it's like a super car in the RC world.
