Can Crusher

Instructions:

1. Lay all pieces out on your workbench

2. By measuring and using photo images, add


reference letters to your timber.

3. Mark out centre lines for drilling process to parts


A, B, C and E

4. Drill a 9.5 mm hole using drill stand

5. Using a sanding stick, round of both ends of A+B

6. Shape one end of the main arm to form a
comfortable handle.

7. Pilot drill and countersink parts D, F, H, J, K

8. Assemble parts C, D and G with 35mm x 8s screws

9. Apply glue to all contacting surfaces

10. Assemble parts G, H and J

11. Insert both Box end packers applying glue
to all contacting surfaces.

Note: Clean of all glue to internal surfaces to avoid


clogging up plunger.

12. Apply glue from a fine nozzle being careful


not to apply too much.

13. Use G Cramp to ensure a close fit

14. Pilot drill through F into E before screwing


Note: This must be screwed centrally to ensure a
smooth motion.

15. Completed plunger arm

16. Cut 3 No Dowels to the correct length


1 @ 60mm – 2 @ 50mm

17. Cut 6 no fine wedge using the coping saw,
to be used with dowels

18. Now put a 15mm long, fine cut down the


centre of your dowel at each end using the
coping saw.

19. Assemble the push rod first before connecting to
the long handle.

20. Apply glue to the end of the dowel only and drive
through until flush at both sides.

21. Now apply a very small amount of glue to the


dowels and push in from both sides, using a small G
cramp

Now leave all parts to dry and test next week

‘DO NOT ATTEMP TO USE BEFORE GLUE HAS CURED’
