Yard Waste Commitment

WM has committed to increasing the yard waste fleet from 14 trucks to 17 trucks.

Carts
WM will provide a 64 gallon cart for garbage collection and a 64 gallon cart for recycling. The use of recycling carts will extend the life of the landfill by expanding our recycling program. The use of carts will reduce roadside littering and improve the communitys appearance.

Carts
Recycling carts will increase the volume of recyclables and increase revenues for the County. Compressed Natural Gas trucks will have lower emissions and will produce less roadside noise.

Community Partner
WM committed to the following funding for the community:
Brevard Zoo - $50,000 one-time payment. Board of County Commissioners - $50,000 annually for economic incentive programs. Board of County Commissioners - $50,000 annually for the solid waste recycling activities.

Community Partner
Economic Development Commission - $15,000 annually to support economic development. United Way of Brevard - $20,000 annually to support the annual campaign. Field of Dreams - $150,000 one year payment and thereafter $50,000 annually for support of their program.

Total new community commitment is $185,000 annually and a one-time payment of $200,000.
