Recording Mode: Motion Detection

Problems
There is a movement, but recording is not initiated Recording starts setting lower as a result of insignificant movement

Possible causes
The Sensitivity is set too low The Sensitivity is set too high Too insignificant an area is included in the monitoring region The illumination of the monitoring region is too low The camera is not properly fixed The camera image is projected unevenly or it is not working properly AGC is on in a dark screen

Possible actions
Set the Sensitivity value of the recording setting higher. Set the Sensitivity value of the recording setting lower Exclude the insignificant area from the Motion Region Increase the illumination of the monitoring region Safely fix the camera Check the camera's operation status

Recording operates when there is no movement at all

Screen noise may be detected as movement if the AGC is on in a dark screen

Playback
Problems
The quality of the recording setting playback screen is poor and a block appears in the screen

Possible causes
The compression level is too high The quality of the camera input image is poor

Possible actions
Set the Compression Level value in the recording setting. This occurs when there is excessive noise in the camera image. Check out the potential causes of the noise (cable, camera status) The image in the monitor may appear curved if the monitor has a low resolution. This phenomenon does not occur if you use a TV monitor

In playback, the screen appears smaller than the full screen

The output device may be a VGA monitor

Troubleshooting Guide

Execution of ReMonPRO
Problems Possible causes
Network may not be connected

Possible actions
Check whether the network is connected utilize a ping test on the network Check whether it is a CAT 5 TPE (Category 5 Twisted-Pair Ethernet) cable and that use different methods for connecting cables depending on the connection status of the network. You may use cross cable or direct cable Test after connecting the PC and Trium P3004 directly, using cross cable Check the version of the remote surveillance program and download an update at our web site if necessary If the result of Ping test after removing the network cable of Trium P is O.K, other equipment uses the IP. Set to other IP that is not used by other equipment Check whether IP/ID/ Password is correct in the setting of ReMonPRO Check whether the Trium P Network setting is correct 1 Check the IP address of the Network Setup 2 Check the ID/Password/ Access Right in User management of System Setup 3 Check whether the Network Setting per Channel is set to On in the Record Setup Contact the network administrator or operator to check whether it is restricted port number Check whether the PC specification enough is

ReMonPRO was successfully executed, but not properly connected

You may have used the wrong cable, or it is not connected properly

There is an error in the network environment The version of the ReMonPRO is not the same as that of the system Conflicting with the IP of other equipment(if other equipment uses the same IP) ReMonPRO's setting is not correct ReMonPRO can be executed and the result of Ping test is ok, but it cannot be connected

Trium P3004 network setup is wrong

The Port Number is not allowed in the firewall ReMonPRO is not executed PC's specification is not correct

Glossary

Glossary
AGC (Auto Gain Control) AGC is a function that automatically controls the signal gain according to preset conditions. If the input signal exceeds the preset range, the signal gain will be adjusted to prevent signal saturation. If the input signal is weak, the AGC will raise it up to the regulation level and maintain a constant level. As a result, the screen image/video will automatically adjust to try and show the best possible contrast and video. DVR (Digital Video Recorder) A DVR is a video storage device that compresses and stores camera data processed in a digital signal format. This system integrates a screen conversion switch, screen divider, VCR, sensor and alarm controller, into a single digital recording system. DVRs use technology based on video algorithm H.264, MPEG, MJPEG etc. to compress and store video data. H.264 H.264 Advanced Video Compression (MPEG-4 Part 10, Advanced Video Coding) is an industry standard for video coding. Designed to combine smaller video compression (about one half the size of similar files with older codecs) and enhance video quality. H.264 is used in such applications as Blu-ray Disc, IPTV, digital cable TV, satellite broadcasting, UCC, DMB and Terrestrial broadcasting. NTP (Network Time Protocol) NTP is a standard protocol for assigning time in the network. NTSC (National Television Systems Committee) The NTSC is the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and International TV System Committee, which established the U.S. color TV standard. The NTSC standard was chosen as the color TV standard for the U.S. in 1953, and later in 1960 by Japan. Korea also adopted the NTSC standard, after considering the allocated channels and characteristics of the broadcast equipment that was in use. In most instances, CCTV systems have elected to use the NTSC method. Non-PC based Equipment Non-PC-based equipment means equipment that uses an RTOS/Embedded operating system instead of a standard PC operating system. The main advantage is that the product is highly stable because it is not built on a PC platform.

PAL (Phase Alternate Line) PAL is a TV broadcast standard which was developed by the Telefunken Company of Germany in 1967. The PAL method is a broadcast method with a scanning rate of 25 frames per second. It has fewer frames compared to NTSC but it has a greater number of straight scanning lines, with 625. It also has better resolution, with its use of high bandwidth. The advantage of this method is that it is not affected by phase fluctuation. However the disadvantage is that it cannot be viewed on black & white TVs. Currently Europe, Australia, China, North Korea and others have adopted this method USB (Universal Serial Bus) USB is a kind of serial port for connecting computer peripheral devices. USB has the function to control several peripheral devices (HDD, CD-ROM drive, keyboard, printer, etc.) and is an interface supporting Plug & Play technology. SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) SMTP is a standard protocol used in Internet e-mail transmission. Frame A frame is a complete screen view, made by interlacing, in a TV. A field scanned twice completes a single frame. The NTSC method shows 30 frames per second, in contrast the PAL method shows 25 frames per second.
