INSTRUCTIONS
To provide an improved compressor rotor assembly. An integral shoulder added at the shaft to web junction on the impeller provides optimum stress distribution. Also, the wheel slot depths, finish and radii are changed As a result of the to reduce stress concentrations. slot depth reduction, the mating pin height is reduced. Further, the mating counterbores of the wheels are reduc~ed to put the pins more in shear and less in bending. Because of the change to the impeller hub, a new rotating labyrinth seal is required. The lst, 2nd and 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th stage wheels, impeller assembly, and rear compressor bearing rotating labyrinth seal are replaced by new parts. Replacement of these parts results in reidentification of the rotor assembly. To be accomplished when it is necessary to replace affected parts.
DESCRIPTION:
COMPLIANCE:
INTERCHANGEABILITY: Because of the slot and pin changes on the impeller and wheels, the new parts described in this bulletin must be incorporated simultaneously.
