To improve cold weather operation, the Glyd ring seal on the pressurizing valve assembly is replaced with a ring type seal. The ring type seal provides more positive sealing of the valve at low temperatures. This bulletin is written in four parts: removal of the valve and sleeve assembly, disassembly of the valve and sleeve assembly, assembly of the valve and sleeve, and installation of the valve and sleeve assembly. GLYD RING SEAL

REMOVE VALVE AND SLEEVE ASSEMBLY (FOR FIELD MODIFICATION ONLY) Removelockwire from P/N 93467 Plug (see Figure 1).

Remove P/N 93467 Plug, P/N 78115-903 Packing, P/N 94286 Shim, and P/N 93607 Spring. Remove packing from plug and discard. Carefully remove P/N 94385 Valve and Sleeve Assembly from the fuel control using needle-nose pliers. DISASSEMBLE VALVE AND NEEDLE ASSEMBLY Disassemble valve and sleeve assembly (refer to Overhaul Manual). NOTE: If available, use STD67196 Holding Fixture to support the valve and sleeve ssembly at the cylindrical end of the valve (Figure 2).

Lightly lubricate new P/N 96330 Ring Seal with VV-P-236 petroleum Carefully push seal onto P/N 94387 Retainer jelly (or equivalent). until seated (see Figure 1). NOTE: If available, install retainer in STD67196 Fixture (see Figure 2). Loosen fixture setscrew and remove STD67196-2 Guide and STD67196-3 Pusher. Place guide over seaI retainer and carefully install seal ring onto retainer with pusher. Remove pusher and guide.

Place P/N 94386 Regulating Valve over retainer. Align lockwire holes and install P/N 28959-l Lockwire. Ensure that the OD of the installed lockwire does not exceed 0.27 in. (see Figure 2). If used, remove P/N 96720 Valve and Sleeve Assembly from its holding fixture. INSTALL VALVE AND SLEEVE ASSEMBLY AND REIDENTIFY FUEL CONTROL

Carefully install P/N 96720 Valve and Sleeve Assembly into fuel fuel control body and pin port using needle-nose pliers. CAUTION: WHILE INSTALLING VALVE AND SLEEVE ASSEMBLY, CAREFULLY WORK (OR JIGGLE) THE ASSEMBLY TO AVOID DAMAGING THE SEAL AGAINST THE CHAMFER INSIDE THE PORT. to install P/N 96720 Assembly

If available, use STD67194 Inserter (see Figure 3). 1. 2*

Install P/N 96720 Valve and Sleeve Assembly into inserter. Pull inserter handle all the way out.

Install valve and sleeve assembly into port with inserter. Push in inserter handle until the valve is seated in the port. Remove inserter.
