BUSINESS COMMUNICATION IV MBA 2013 BATCH CLASS TEST AND PRESENTATION

The Activity given below will be completed by all the students by 01st Feb 2013 and the same will be submitted in manuscript form on 04th Feb 2013 onwards on the day of the BC Class of the Group during their respective classes within the same week to Prof (Col) A K Rajpal for evaluation.

CULTURE AND COMMUNICATION ACTIVITY I. Invitation to Insight What in-groups do you belong to? You can best answer this question by thinking about whom you regard as belonging to out-groups. Based on your observations, consider the criteria you use to define in-and out-groups. Do you rely on Race? Ethnicity? Age? Lifestyle? How do your judgments about in and out-group membership affect your communication with others?
NOTE: ANY COPYING OF OTHERS ANSWER WILL LEAD TO ZERO MARK THERE AND THEN. IT SHOULD BE ABSOLUTELY INDIVIDUAL EFFORT BASED ON PERSONAL RESEARCH TO

HOME ON TO THE CROSS CULTURAL COMMUNICATION CUES BEING ASKED FOR.

PUBLIC SPEAKING AND PRESENTATION Each student will make a Presentation of about 34 Minutes duration on their respective answers of the given activity. The answers will be written in manuscript (No Hard Copy) in 2-4 foolscap size papers with a title page giving details of :Your Name, Class Roll No and Date of Submission. While the Activity incorporating the answer will be submitted by hand in the class, you will be required to speak simultaneously in class for 3-4 minutes on the same (with or without laptop).
NOTE: No second chance or variation in the date of
submission can be affected due to busy time schedule. Students not following the schedule will miss 20 marks for these two activities on the same day of the scheduled class (Class Test/Manuscript answer 10 Marks and Class Presentation 10 Marks). This Activity will be titled CLASS TEST & PRESENTATION. The total marks for this entire activity will therefore be distributed as given below:-

1. Contents of manuscript (Class Test) 3. Presentation in the Class

- 10 marks

- 10 Marks ---------------Total - 20 Marks

Please note that this entire activity is the last in the series of BC Internal Evaluation during this Term carrying 35 Marks, as you have already been evaluated or in the process of being evaluated for GD comprising 15 marks. Any one not attending to it in time will lose those many marks straightaway. An End of Term BC Paper of 60 Marks will be held along with other papers during ETE in April 2013.
