Elvila Company is the leading company in the Romanian furniture manufacturing market, being specialized in the
furniture production and trade.
Assigned to conceptualize, develop, and launch a new import department to achieve both short and
longrange business expectations for this specialized manufacturing firm. Work in close concert with
senior management, department heads, and key personnel in areas of policy development, staff
recruitment and training, budgeting and financials, and personally manage supplier and supply chain
requirements.
Personally led efforts identifying and securing agreements with vendors / suppliers from Asia and
Europe. Performed due diligence, developed contracts, and successfully negotiated advantageous
agreements without the benefit of a support team.
Executed pre and postcontractual requirements including critical supply chain functions.
Trained, supervised, and directed assigned staff, ensuring performance goals achieved, and
ensured high morale and low turnover in a fastpaced, exacting environment.
