UV Absorbers
Base requirements for an effective UV Absorber: - Effective dissipation of the absorbed energy in a non-photosensitizing way (inherent light stability of the UV absorber molecule itself) - High absorptivity in the sensitive UV region - Minimal sensitivity to side reactions with / in the matrix (e.g. undesirable stabilizer consumption, discoloration, etc) - High persistence in the stabilized polymer matrix (minimal physical losses, good compatibility with the polymer)
