Introduction This section provides an overview of MOS 51K10, Plumber Course, training materials which include the following documents: a. References b. Course Management Plan (CMP) c. Program of Instruction (POI)

d. Training Support Package (TSP) e. Student Guide (SG) f. References Viewgraph Transparencies (VGTs)

All required references are listed in Appendix C and include regulations, field manuals, and technical manuals. Appendix C contains a Master Reference List of all references required for the course and a Training Support Package Reference List presenting a breakdown of references according to Training Support Package. As described briefly in the front of this document, the Course Management Plan (CMP) is the document that provides the course manager and instructors with guidelines and materials essential to overall management of the course. The TATS Program of Instruction (POI) is a requirements document that provides a general description of course content, duration of instruction, types of instruction; and lists resources required to conduct peacetime, mobilization, IDT, ADT, and distance learning technical training. Currently, there is no distance learning in the 51K10 Plumber Course.

TSPs

1. Each TATS Training Support Package (TSP) is designed to provide the instructor with all guidelines and materials needed to train students in the knowledge and skills needed to meet the requirements of the terminal learning objective (TLO). 2. Each TSP is organized into seven sections: a. Cover Sheet, Preface Page and Table of Contents b. Administrative Data c. Introduction

d. Presentation e. Summary f Student Evaluation g. Appendixes (1) VGTs (if applicable) (2) Practical Exercises and Solutions (if applicable) (3) Tests and Tests Solutions (if applicable) Student Guides 1. Each Student Guide (SG) provides guidance and materials the student needs to progress through the course. It presents the purpose of the course, provides a module map showing the order and breakdown of the lessons within each module, and discusses the training and testing process. The student guide contains Advance Sheets presenting the objectives the student needs to meet for each module, provides safety and environmental requirements, lists references the student will need to access for each module, and summarizes the learning activities. 2. Each student is issued a student guide upon arrival at the course and it becomes the students property. All students should be encouraged to take their student guides back to the unit with them for use in performing their jobs. Viewgraphs Viewgraphs are visual training aids which graphically assist the instructors presentation.

Ordering Course Materials

The Course Manager is responsible for ordering all instructional materials and publications required to conduct the course. All instructional materials are ordered through the Army Training Support Command (ATSC) in Fort Eustis, Virginia. All applicable soldier training publications (STPs), technical manuals (TMs), and field manuals (FMs) are ordered through the Battalion S1.
