About MNIT Jaipur Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur is one of the premier NITs designated with

the status of Institute of National Importance by MHRD. Located in a central location in Jaipur city and spread over 325 acres of lush green area this institute was established in the year 1963 as a joint venture of the Government of India and Government of Rajasthan. The college was inspired by the great educationist and freedom fighter Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya and thus named as Malaviya Regional Engineering College (MREC). The institute was upgraded to a National Institute of Technology and was declared deemed university on June 26, 2002. Since then, the Institute started offering B. Tech. (Bachelor of Technology) degree instead of B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) degree. MREC now known as MNIT, aims to set higher standards of academics to become a world class institute. The Institute offers nine undergraduate courses of study in Architecture, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Information Technology, Mechanical and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering and postgraduate courses(M.Tech./M.B.A./M.Sc./Ph.D.) through its fourteen departments. The institute is actively engaged in research, consultancy and developmental activities besides regular teaching. The institute is celebrating its Golden Jubilee year from Sept. 01, 2012 to Aug. 31, 2013.

Objectives of the Course The purpose of this course is familiarizing and training in the emerging fields of computational techniques in engineering and sciences. Such training is very useful for researchers, engineers and scientists. Providing in-depth knowledge of latest softwares used in different engineering fields for solution of various optimization problems and to strengthen knowledge of faculty members and researchers. The proposed short term program is motivated from this conviction.

Resource Persons Faculty members from IITs, NITs, Universities & Industries. Registration A course registration fee is Rs 2000/- per person for faculty from academic institutes, Rs 1000/- for students and Rs 3000/- for delegates from industries and R&D organizations. The fee should be submitted, along with the duly filled registration form through Bank Draft drawn in favour of Registrar, MNIT Jaipur. Last Date of Registration: March 15, 2013.
