Funding: $1,378,124
The Taholah School District will address several conditions that affect the health and
safety of students and staff in the Taholah School, which enrolls 230 children of the
Quinault Nation in grades K through 12. The project will repair the building’s failing roof,
replace and upgrade the fire safety system, correct electrical system deficiencies, and
replace the facility’s heating system.
Funding: $2,152,120
The Browning Elementary School District will build a new elementary school facility to
replace the Babb Elementary School, which currently enrolls 34 children of the Blackfeet
Reservation in grades K through 6. The existing Babb School, built in 1903, suffers from
a series of emergency conditions including an inadequate sewage system, failure to
meet handicapped accessibility requirements, failure to meet electrical and plumbing
codes, and a condemned basement and foundation in the main building.

Funding: $5,371,575
The Bering Strait School District will replace the Brevig Mission School, which currently
enrolls 114 Alaska Native students in grades K through 12. Extreme overcrowding in the
current school and the use of modular classrooms physically separated from the main
building causes serious health, hygiene and safety issues for students and staff during
extreme winter weather conditions.
The Wyola Elementary School District will correct two emergency conditions in the
Wyola Elementary School, which enrolls 49 children of the Crow Indian Reservation in
grades K through 8. The projects will replace a faulty fire safety system and eliminate
degraded asbestos floor tiles in the gymnasium.
Funding: $1,153,800
The Rocky Boy Elementary School District will address health and safety deficiencies in
the Rocky Boy Elementary School, which enrolls 339 children of the Rocky Boy Indian
Reservation in grades K through 8. The project will replace the roof, replace damaged
interior ceilings and upgrade the electrical and fire safety systems to bring them to code.

Funding: $2,012,879
The Zuni Public Schools will address multiple emergency repair needs in the Zuni Middle
School, which enrolls 387 children of the Zuni Reservation. The project will install a new
fire alarm and suppression system and improve the heating, ventilation, and cooling
system to address health issues that result from inadequate heating and cooling. The
project will also repair a portion of the facility’s roof.
Funding: $536,100
The Dahlonegah Elementary School District will repair a faulty roof, remove asbestos
tiles, and address heating, ventilation, and cooling and electrical deficiencies in the
Dahlonegah Elementary School, which enrolls 97 children.
Funding: $1,646,600
The Box Elder Elementary School District will add eight classrooms of instructional
space to Box Elder Elementary School, which enrolls 366 students in grades K through
8, mostly from the Rocky Boy Indian Reservation. Currently, students are housed in
severely inadequate temporary buildings that do not meet fire safety standards and
handicapped accessibility requirements.

Funding: $3,692,918
The Yukon-Koyukuk School District will address heating issues in four of their facilities
by repairing and in some cases replacing aging boiler systems prone to fail. These
schools have a combined enrollment of 239 Alaska Native children.
Funding: $564,136
The Kenwood School District will address several emergency conditions in the Kenwood
School, which enrolls 117 children. The project will replace the school’s roof and
ceilings, which have structural deficiencies. The project will also install a fire

suppression sprinkler system, improve the electrical system to meet codes and upgrade
the heating, ventilation, and cooling system.
Funding: $4,583,796
The Fort Yates Public School District will construct a new middle school facility to house
children who are currently educated in obsolete wooden and modular units. The new
school will educate approximately 230 students on the Standing Rock Sioux
Reservation.
The Wolf Point Elementary School District will remove and replace deteriorated asbestos
floor tiles in the Northside Elementary School, which enrolls 223 children in grades 4
through 6. The School District will also correct similar asbestos floor problems in the
Southside Elementary School, which enrolls 310 children in grades K through 3.

The Crown Charter School will acquire and install modular restroom facilities that will
permit the school to provide sufficient safely accessible restrooms for its students.
Currently, 130 students attend the Crown Charter School; many of these children are
dependents of military personnel posted at Luke Air Force Base.
Funding: $568,161
The Brockton High School District will repair a damaged roof for Brockton High School
and replace the school’s aged heating, ventilation, and cooling system. Brockton High
School enrolls 62 children of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation.
Funding: $468,612
The Harlem Elementary School District will address emergency needs in Harlem
Elementary School with a range of projects including mold and asbestos abatement,
improving the heating, ventilation, and cooling system, upgrading the fire alarm system,
and increasing accessibility to meet handicapped accessibility requirements. Harlem
Elementary School enrolls 329 children of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation.
Funding: $60,100
The Dixon School District will address needs in the Dixon School, which enrolls 59
children of the Flathead Reservation. The project repairs broken and deteriorated glass
panes, improves the boiler room’s ventilation system, repairs crumbling stairways, and
installs handrails along elevated surfaces.
