PRESENTE INDICATIVO El presente de indicativo se divide en actual y habitual. PRESENTE ACTUAL El presente actual indica que la accin del verbo se ejecuta en el momento mismo de expresar la oracin. Para conjugar los verbos en el presente actual primero se dicen los pronombres personales, ten, tech, leti', to'on, te'ex, letio'ob, y se aade la particula tan, los pronombres dependientes in, a, u, k, a, u, respectivamente y el verbo. Todos los verbos que comienzan con vocal en la conjugacin llevan los siguientes prefijos. Ejemplo: Tene' tan in wa'alik Teche' tan a wa'alik Letie' tan u ya'alik To'one' k a'alik Te'exe' tan a wa'alike'ex Letio'obe' tan u ya'aliko'ob

Por ejemplo, se elimina parte del pronombre personal, la partcula tan y queda la primera t y el in: tene' tan in mis tin mis ta mis tu mis t mis ta mise'ex tu miso'ob "Las formas con la partcula tan, indican una accin progresando constantemente, es una accin necesariamente de ms de una duracin momentnea yendo en el tiempo presente" (Vermont Salas, 1982:69). PRESENTE HABITUAL El presente habitual no indica cundo se ejecuta la accin del verbo, sino nicamente expresa una accin habitual. El presente habitual se diferencia por la partcula k que antecede los pronombres dependientes en sustitucin de la t de tin que se usa en el presente actual. Ejemplos: kin mis ka mis ku mis k mis ka mise'ex ku miso'ob Las formas que comienzan con la partcula k, indican, en contraste una accin habitual o general y no es que necesariamente proceda en ese mismos momento. Se le llama tambin presente habitual o verbos incompletos. A la partcula tan la llamaremos partcula del aspecto durativo o de los verbos del aspecto completo (Vermont Salas, 1982:69). Los pronombres dependientes se convierten en adjetivos posesivos cuando se anteponen a los sustantivos. Todos los sustantivos que comienzan con vocal, llevan los prefijos w-y
