A student will not need remediation and is considered College Ready if they met all three of these requirements: Graduate with a Regents Diploma AND Demonstrate readiness in English by scoring 75 on the English Regents, 480 on the Critical Reading SAT, 20 on the ACT English, or passing CUNY assessment tests in Reading and Writing; AND Demonstrate readiness in Math by scoring 80 on the math Regents*, 480 on the math SAT, 20 on the ACT math, or passing the CUNY assessment test in math.
* If you use the Math Regents to demonstrate Math proficiency, other requirements must be satisfied

Expanded Horizons College Preparation Services at Henry Street Settlement http://www.henrystreet.org/programs/ Fordham Step STEP at Fordham University is a rigorous academic enrichment program designed to help prepare junior high and high school students for licensed professions and scientific, technical and health-related careers. STEP also seeks to increase the representation of historically underrepresented minorities and economically disadvantaged people in these fields. LEDA Scholars LEDA seeks to equalize educational opportunity by providing a Leadership Summer Institute at http://www.ledascholars.org Princeton University which includes leadership training, writing instruction, standardized test preparation, and college advising. Let's Get Ready SAT Let's Get Ready programs are free to students and include 30 hours of intensive instruction on http://www.letsgetready.org/ the foundational math and critical reading/writing skills that the SAT covers and that are necessary to succeed in college.
