NOTES: 1. This application is common for summer internship programmes at Computer Science and Automation (CSA) and Supercompuer Education and Research Centre (SERC). 2. Please do not use hotmail id for registration/refrence letter, as there were reported failures of delivery of e-mails from IISc server to hotmail server. 3. Please also read the FAQ here before filling up the application form.

How to Apply:
Pre-requisites:
Reference (Head of the Department or the Principal or a senior faculty member of your department) Name and e-mail id (preferably official one) is required to complete the registration process. Please do take their permission before giving this information. Choose your area of inernship (any 1 preference only; pay attention to the preferred disciplines of B.E./B.Tech./Integrated ME/MTech) There are three steps that needs to be followed for registering to Summer Internship Program Step-1: (pre-application) Please fill the form given here http://www.serc.iisc.ernet.in/sip/register-form.php to get the unique ID which is required for filling the application. You will get an e-mail with your Unique ID and instructions to proceed further. Keep this email, this information is necessary for further correspondence. Step-2: (application) Requires unique ID provided by completing Step-1. Please fill the entries with relevant information in the form http://www.serc.iisc.ernet.in/sip/login-form.php. Requires you to fill the reference name and e-mail id (preferably official one). Fill the area of internship (ONE ONLY) according to your preference. In case where you do not know the rank in your class, choose others. Please note that once you submit the form the entries (including reference name and details) can not be changed. A PDF version of your application will be emailed to you after you complete this step.

Step-3: (reference letter) An automatic e-mail is sent to the referee faculty with necessary log-in details to complete the reference letter. As soon as the referee faculty submits the reference letter, both you and the referee will receive an e- mail about the completion of the application. Note that until you receive an e-mail stating that your application process is completed, your application will remain as incomplete and will not be considered for the internship programme. The responsibility of completing all three steps (including reference letter) lies on the applicant.
