CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION (E104) For todays experiment, we conducted on how to get the acceleration, net force, the time of travel, and the percentage error for all values related to the materials used. The experiment is entitled as Newtons Second Law of Motion. The main objective is to identify the proportionality of acceleration and net force if the cart is at constant, and to verify if the inverse proportionality of acceleration is equal to the mass if the net force is held constant. We have learned that the answers to the three objectives are met because the body mass subject to a net force undergoes acceleration that has the same direction as the force and a magnitude that is directly proportional to the force and inversely proportional to the mass. Alternatively, the total force applied on a body is equal to the time to the momentum which is mostly the case why the objectives are met accurately and precisely. The idea of the experiment are the ff: (a) the direct proportionality of acceleration and net force is when the mass of the body is constant by changing the total hanging weight and leaving the carts mass constant. (b) the acceleration and mass is inversely proportional when the net force is constant and when by changing the mass of the cart, the total hanging weight will constant and lastly, (c) the change in net force greatly affects the acceleration than of the change in mass of an object. Through the various results, we come up with a conclusion that considering the relationship between the concepts we know and the concepts that Newton has stated to us is very important. Therefore, understanding fully the values computed through the three parts of the experiment will determine our precise knowledge on how to apply Newtons laws to reality. For those fellow students who are to take up PHY10L for the upcoming terms, we, group 3A/A2 under Prof. Ryan Cabrera recommends you all to do the following: (a) Find a perfect location to where you are going to perform the experiment provided that no harm is intended to co-performers of the experiment. (b) Observe stableness from the materials used especially the platform used for the dynamics cart. The values will change once the wooden block is moving when placed in a cart horizontally. (c) There must be at least (3) people guiding the experiment. The one who will serve as the balancer of the cart, the one who will place the wooden block to place, and the one who will place the picket fence and at the same time performing the smart timer. (d) Perform the experiment with honesty. Failure to do so will result to degradation.
