The next seminar will be held at 7 pm Saturday 3 March. This is the third of a series of monthly seminars hosted at Bishop's House. These seminars will offer opportunities for deeper formation in the faith for those aged 18 to 35. The Catechism of the Catholic Church, Pope Benedict's Jesus of Nazareth and the liturgical year will act as guides to a deeper knowledge of the mystery of Christ and the human questions about the meaning of life, friendship, marriage, personal vocation and the call to holiness. There will be time for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament accompanied by music, a presentation by Bishop Hugh, workshops and discussion. Any clergy are also welcome. We have raised considerable funds so far by parishioners use of this online means of buying Christmas gifts. Now is the time to draw attention to this easy way to raise money.

Have you thought about Gift Aiding your weekly /monthly donation to the Church? If you pay tax in the UK you can Gift Aid your donation at NO EXTRA COST to yourself. You can choose either to set up a Standing Order or use the Gift Aid envelopes. There are brown gift aid envelopes for the monthly building fund collection those who wish to gift aid their donation (which gives us an extra 28% return) please put either your gift aid number which is the same number as the main

SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES


Small Christian Communities (SCC) are small groups of parishioners who meet together in different parts of the parish in their homes to share their thoughts on the Gospel of the coming Sunday, pray for each others need and support one another. The effect of all this is a growth in faith and a deepened sense of belonging to the community of the Church. For more information please telephone Sr. Brenda: (01358) 722 388.

At this Mass the oils that are used for the celebration of the sacraments for the coming year are blessed by the bishop. The priests of the diocese also gather together to renew their promises to the bishop before the People of God. All the members of the diocese are invited to attend this celebration. The Chrism Mass this year will take place in St. Peters, th Buckie, at 7pm on Thursday 29 March. There is a possibility of hiring a bus if enough people are interested. THE ABERDEEN PASSION: ONE LIFE GIVEN


A Traditional Passion Play based on the Gospel of St. Luke will be held in the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre th th on 6 & 7 April. The Aberdeen Passion is an amateur production bringing over 100 members of the North East Christian Community together to stage an ambitious telling of that last, earth shattering week of Jesus life on earth. 5TH INTERNATIONAL PRO-LIFE YOUTH CONFERENCE


This Conference will take place at the Park Inn, Wath-uponnd th Dearne, Rotherham, from 2 to 4 March, costing 90 per person. Previous conferences have resulted in amazing feedback from delegates, many of whom use the conference as a springboard for becoming more actively involved in pro-life activities. If there is enough interest from Scottish delegates, there is the possibility of organising a bus, so please get in touch if you wish to go or if your SPUC Branch/pro-life group would like to sponsor a delegate.

The will be a celebration of the feast of St John Ogilvie on th Saturday 10 March at St Thomas Church, Keith, with Mass at 2 pm. Bishop Hugh has agreed to preside at Mass and to preach. Parishioners are invited to join this celebration.

LENTEN PENITENTIAL SERVICE


In order to fulfil our Easter Duties and adequately prepare ourselves for Lent, a penitential service will take place at St. st Marys Cathedral on Wednesday 21 March at 7pm. All the priests of the city shall be available at that time to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
