The engine is operating at the LOW IDLE position. The specified pressure is not the relief valve pressure setting. The specified pressure occurs at operating temperatures. This pressure is dependent on the pressure at the torque converter outlet. The priority valve is at High Pressure if the engine speed is less than 1300 rpm. The valve remains at High Pressure until the engine speed is greater than 1350 rpm. The priority valve is at High Pressure during changes in transmission speed and direction. The priority valve is at High Pressure if oil temperature (M) is less than 40C (104F). The valve remains at High Pressure until the oil temperature is greater than 45C (113F). The priority valve remains at Low Pressure, whenever the parking brake is engaged. Low Pressure is 1100 kPa (160 psi).

When you activate both brakes, the same pressures are produced. When you engage the service brakes, the same pressures are produced. When you engage the other brake, the same pressures are produced. The exceptions are the pressures for individual clutches (F) and (J) and brakes (G) and (H) . If you activate the right brake, refer to the pressures for the opposite clutch and brake. Low Pressure is 1100 kPa (160 psi).
