US, UK, NATO, Saudi, and Israeli backed terrorists carrying out a campaign of systematic atrocities in Syria have finally been acknowledged and reported on by Human Rights Watch, who has for nearly 2 years intentionally portrayed the conflict as one-sided violence carried out by the Syrian government alone. With evidence and admissions emerging that the socalled "Syrian rebels" are in fact Libyan terrorists, armed, funded, and flown in by NATO to cross into Syria and attack government troops. Organizations like Human Rights Watch have faced deteriorating legitimacy, even with watered-down admissions like their most recent report titled, "Syria: End Opposition Use of Torture, Executions."

In the report, Human Rights Watch admits, "armed opposition groups have subjected detainees to illtreatment and torture and committed extrajudicial or summary executions in Aleppo, Latakia, and Idlib." Much of the torture described by Human Rights Watch involves obtaining false confessions by victims, admitting tat they are "shabeeha" militiamen. The Western media has long excused terrorists operating in Syria for their atrocities, claiming that the victims were "suspected" shabeeha. It now appears, as was suspected all along, these victims were innocent, and the Western press, the BBC and CNN in particular, were complicit in covering up egregious crimes against humanity. Human Rights Watch also acknowledged that those carrying out the atrocities are indeed the same groups being financed and armed by Western nations, and "urged countries assisting opposition groups to condemn publicly the human rights and humanitarian law abuses by those groups." Of course, despite the West using reports produced by Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International - and other faux-NGOs funded and directed by the very interests arming terrorists in Syria. To justify the violent subversion of the Syrian government, it is already evident that reports illustrating that human rights abuses are being carried out by Western-backed terrorists will incur no condemnation.

The recent consulate attack in Benghazi, Libya, resulting in the death of US Ambassador Christopher Stevens, was carried out by the very terrorist groups the US and NATO armed and backed in the overthrow of the Libyan government in 2011. In November 2011, the Telegraph in their article, "Leading Libyan Islamist met Free Syrian Army opposition group," would report: Abdulhakim Belhadj, head of the Tripoli Military Council and the former leader of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, 'met with Free Syrian Army leaders in Istanbul and on the border with Turkey,' said a military official working with Mr Belhadj. 'Mustafa Abdul Jalil (the interim Libyan president) sent him there.'

Another Telegraph article, "Libyas new rulers offer weapons to Syrian rebels," would admit Syrian rebels held secret talks with Libya's new authorities on Friday, aiming to secure weapons and money for their insurgency against President Bashar al-Assad's regime, The Daily Telegraph has learned. At the meeting, which was held in Istanbul and included Turkish officials, the Syrians requested 'assistance' from the Libyan representatives and were offered arms, and potentially volunteers. 'There is something being planned to send weapons and even Libyan fighters to Syria,' said a Libyan source, speaking on condition of anonymity. 'There is a military intervention on the way. Within a few weeks you will see.' Later that month, some 600 Libyan terrorists would be reported to have entered Syria to begin combat operations and as recently as last month, CNN, whose Ivan Watson accompanied terrorists over the TurkishSyrian border and into Aleppo, revealed that indeed foreign fighters were amongst the militants, particularly Libyans. It was admitted that: Meanwhile, residents of the village where the Syrian Falcons were headquartered said there were fighters of several North African nationalities also serving with the brigade's ranks. A volunteer Libyan fighter has also told CNN he intends to travel from Turkey to Syria within days to add a 'platoon' of Libyan fighters to armed movement.

CNN also added: - On Wednesday, CNNs crew met a Libyan fighter who had crossed into Syria from Turkey with four other Libyans. The fighter wore full camouflage and was carrying a Kalashnikov rifle. He said more Libyan fighters were on the way. The foreign fighters, some of them are clearly drawn because they see this as a jihad. So this is a magnet for jihadists who see this as a fight for Sunni Muslims. CNN's reports provide bookends to 2011's admissions that large numbers of Libyan terrorists flush with NATO cash and weapons had headed to Syria, with notorious terrorist LIFG commanders making the arrangements. In essence, Syria has been under invasion for nearly a year by US and NATO-backed Libyan terrorists. Human Rights Watch now confirms that these terrorists are carrying out a brutal, systematic campaign of torture and extra-judicial murder. It should be remembered that they do so with Western, NATO, and Gulf State cash and weapons, as well as significant political support.

The U.S. has also taken part in clandestine operations aimed at Iran and its ally Syria. A by-product of these activities has been the bolstering of Sunni extremist groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam and are hostile to America and sympathetic to Al Qaeda. Radwah Ziadeh, it should be remembered, is also a "senior fellow" of the US State Department's US Institute for Peace (USIP) which has just revealed it is behind training, coaching, and tutoring Syria's opposition leaders as well as preparing Syria's new constitution, currently being called a, "transition strategy document." Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of the Neo-Cons' letter is that it essentially calls for a Libya-style no-fly zone.

We urge you to take immediate steps, in close and continuing consultation with the Congress, to work with regional partners to establish air-patrolled 'safe zones' covering already liberated areas within Syria, using military power not only to protect these zones from further aggression by the Assad regime's military and irregular forces, but also to neutralize the threat posed by the Syrian dictatorship's chemical and biological weapons. What is an intelligence operation?

It is a plan conceived in secret to achieve an aim that is illegal, immoral, criminal. The plan designs several courses of action that will be taken to achieve the goal. Built into the plan are the secrecy and the cover stories (lies) that will be floated to falsely explain the end result ( e,g., the destruction of the Murrah building in OKC and the deaths of 168 people). These cover stories are essential, so that the planners are concealed. Cover stories misdirect the attention of the public. The press reports all the cover stories as if they are true. An intelligence operation (op) uses layers of CUTOUTS. Cut outs are lower level people and groups who carry out parts of the op. Some cut outs know more than others. But cut outs do not know the real reason they are carrying out their assignments. Which means they do not see the biggest picture. They are not meant to. Good intelligence operations are COMPARTMENTALIZED.

In other words, the various cut outs are contributing pieces of work that, all told, add up to the successful execution of the op. But key cut outs are kept separate from one another. More protection of the people at the top who do not want to be exposed. Good intelligence operations lay down FALSE TRAILS. These are specific cover stories designed to swallow up smart investigators who try to get beyond the more obvious lies. False trials are seeded with clues which look hot, but after a time, the trails peter out. Thus, the energy and resources of the investigator are exhausted, and he throws up his hands and gives up. A good intelligence operation has people who can be brought in to DISCREDIT independent investigators who are actually seeing the truth. Discrediting a person may involve telling damaging lies about him, questioning his sanity, planting false evidence on him that makes him look like a criminal, and so on. Or, if there are things the investigator has done which the public would find objectionable, these are brought to light. A good intelligence operation is prepared to stage events that will DISTRACT the public at crucial moments.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said bombings against security and intelligence targets in Damascus and Aleppo bear all the earmarks of an alQaida-like attack, leading the U.S. intelligence community to believe the Iraqi militant branch is extending its reach into Syria. Al-Qaida of Iraq is one of al-Qaidas largest regional affiliates. He added that Syrian opposition groups may have been infiltrated by al-Qaida, likely without their knowledge. Clapper said the lack of a unified opposition group could leave a power vacuum that extremists could fill if the Syrian government falls, a potential development he called troubling, because Syria has an extensive network of chemical weapons sites. Defense Intelligence Agency chief Lt. Gen. Ronald Burgess added that it appears the al-Qaida like attacks were likely caused by elements already inside the country, and that the U.S. intelligence community had not yet detected a clarion call to outsiders to join the cause.

The US military is currently in control of large parts of Kuwait and thousands of soldiers who have left Iraq are currently stationed there. The US dispatched some 15,000 troops to Kuwait late last year after withdrawing its forces from Iraq. Kuwaiti residents are not allowed to enter these areas without a permit.

When the U.S. wants to fund, train, arm or otherwise align itself with a Terrorist group or state sponsor of Terror as it often does it at least usually has the tact to first remove them from its formal terrorist list (as the U.S. did when it wanted to support Saddam in 1982 and work with Libya in 2006), or it just keeps them off the list altogether despite what former Council on Foreign Relations writer Lionel Beehner described as mounds of evidence that [they] at one time or another abetted terrorists (as it has done with close U.S. allies in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, along with the El Salvadoran death squads and Nicaraguan contras armed and funded in the 1980s by the Reagan administration). But according to a new, multi-sourced report from The New Yorkers Seymour Hersh, the U.S. did not even bother going through those motions when, during the Bush years, it trained the Iranian dissident group Mujahideen-e-Khalq (MEK) at a secretive Department of Energy site in Nevada.

It was here that the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) conducted training, beginning in 2005, for members of the Mujahideen-e-Khalq, a dissident Iranian opposition group known in the West as the M.E.K. . . . . The M.E.K.s ties with Western intelligence deepened after the fall of the Iraqi regime in 2003, and JSOC began operating inside Iran in an effort to substantiate the Bush Administrations fears that Iran was building the bomb at one or more secret underground locations. Funds were covertly passed to a number of dissident organizations, for intelligence collection and, ultimately, for anti-regime terrorist activities. Directly, or indirectly, the M.E.K. ended up with resources like arms and intelligence. Some American-supported covert operations continue in Iran today, according to past and present intelligence officials and military consultants. We did train them here, and washed them through the Energy Department because the D.O.E. owns all this land in southern Nevada, a former senior American intelligence official told me.

We were deploying them over long distances in the desert and mountains, and building their capacity in communications cordinating commo is a big deal. A JSOC spokesman told Hersh that U.S. Special Operations Forces were neither aware of nor involved in the training of M.E.K. members, but a MEK lawyer refused to confirm or deny the report, arguing that any such training would undercut the U.S. Governments claims that MEK belongs on the Terrorist list. In February, NBC News Richard Engel and Robert Windrem reported, based on two anonymous senior U.S. officials, that MEK was the group perpetrating a series of sophisticated assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists (using bombs and rifles). NBC also reported that Israel specifically its Mossad intelligence service is financing, training and arming MEK: in other words, that Israel is a state sponsor of this designated Terrorist group. Various reports have also indicated that the MEK, with Israeli support, was responsible for a string of explosions on Iranian soil. Hersh obtained independent confirmation of all these claims: The former senior intelligence official I spoke with seconded the NBC report that the Israelis were working with the M.E.K., adding that the operations benefited from American intelligence.

He said that the targets were not Einsteins; The goal is to affect Iranian psychology and morale, he said, and to demoralize the whole system nuclear delivery vehicles, nuclear enrichment facilities, power plants. Attacks have also been carried out on pipelines. He added that the operations are primarily being done by M.E.K. through liaison with the Israelis, but the United States is now providing the intelligence. An adviser to the special-operations community told me that the links between the United States and M.E.K. activities inside Iran had been long-standing. Everything being done inside Iran now is being done with surrogates, he said. So lets review what we have here. If this report is true, it means the U.S. Government actively trained a group that the U.S. Government itself legally categorizes as a foreign terrorist organization, a clear felony under U.S. law: Whoever knowingly provides material support or resources to a foreign terrorist organization, or attempts or conspires to do so, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 15 years, or both, and, if the death of any person results, shall be imprisoned for any term of years or for life. That alone compels serious DOJ and Congressional investigations into these claims.

Worse, this reportedly happened at the very same time that the U.S. aggressively prosecuted and imprisoned numerous Muslims for providing material support for groups on that list even though many of those prosecuted provided support that was far, far less than what the U.S. Government itself was providing to MEK. Meanwhile, right at this moment, Americas closest ally Israel is clearly a state sponsor of this designated Terrorist organization, providing training, funding and arms to it, and the U.S. may very well be as well (independent of all else, given that Israel is the largest recipient of U.S. aid, the U.S., at the very least, is financing a state sponsor of Terror). At the same time, a glittering bipartisan cast of former Washington officials is receiving large payments from this designated Terrorist group, meeting with its leaders, and then advocating on its behalf again, providing far more material support than many powerless, marginalized Muslims who have been and continue to be prosecuted under this law. All of this appears to be clearly criminal regardless of whether MEK belongs on the list once a group is placed by the State Department on the list, whether justifiably or not, it is a felony to provide material support to it but MEK appears to be doing exactly that which is typically considered Terrorism Assassinating civilian scientists (and severely wounding their wives) with bombs and causing other civiliankilling explosions on Iranian soil in order to induce fear.

In the above-linked LA Times Op-Ed by CFRs Lionel Beehner, he derides the U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism as one of the biggest farces of U.S. foreign policy. Indeed it is, but thats equally true of the pervasive, righteous use of the term terrorist or terrorism supporter in our political and media discourse generally. Anyone in government, media and think tank circles who routinely and angrily accuse others of being terrorists or supporters of terrorism without recognizing that the U.S. and its closest allies are plainly and routinely guilty of that is just a rank propagandist. The site, some sixty-five miles northwest of Las Vegas, was once used for nuclear testing, and now includes a counterintelligence training facility and a private airport capable of handling Boeing 737 aircraft.

Its a restricted area, and inhospitablein certain sections, the curious are warned that the sites security personnel are authorized to use deadly force, if necessary, against intruders. The training ended sometime before President Obama took office, the former official said. In a separate interview, a retired four-star general, who has advised the Bush and Obama Administrations on national-security issues, said that he had been privately briefed in 2005 about the training of Iranians associated with the M.E.K. in Nevada by an American involved in the program. They got the standard training, he said, in commo, crypto [cryptography], small-unit tactics, and weaponrythat went on for six months, the retired general said. They were kept in little pods. He also was told, he said, that the men doing the training were from JSOC, which, by 2005, had become a major instrument in the Bush Administrations global war on terror. The JSOC trainers were not front-line guys who had been in the field, but second- and third-tier guys trainers and the likeand they started going off the reservation. If were going to teach you tactics, let me show you some really sexy stuff It was the ad-hoc training that provoked the worried telephone calls to him, the former general said. I told one of the guys who called me that they were all in over their heads, and all of them could end up trouble unless they got something in writing.

The Iranians are very, very good at counterintelligence, and stuff like this is just too hard to contain. The site in Nevada was being utilized at the same time, he said, for advanced training of lite Iraqi combat units. (The retired general said he only knew of the one M.E.K.-affiliated group that went though the training course the former senior intelligence official said that he was aware of training that went on through 2007.) Allan Gerson, a Washington attorney for the M.E.K., notes that the M.E.K. has publicly and repeatedly renounced terror. Gerson said he would not comment on the alleged training in Nevada. But such training, if true, he said, would be especially incongruent with the State Departments decision to continue to maintain the M.E.K. on the terrorist list. How can the U.S. train those on States foreign terrorist list, when others face criminal penalties for providing a nickel to the same organization? Robert Baer, a retired C.I.A. agent who is fluent in Arabic and had worked under cover in Kurdistan and throughout the Middle East in his career, initially had told me in early 2004 of being recruited by a private American companyworking, so he believed, on behalf of the Bush Administrationto return to Iraq. They wanted me to help the M.E.K. collect intelligence on Irans nuclear program, Baer recalled.

They thought I knew Farsi, which I did not. I said Id get back to them, but never did. Baer, now living in California, recalled that it was made clear to him at the time that the operation was a long-term thingnot just a one-shot deal. Massoud Khodabandeh, an I.T. expert now living in England who consults for the Iraqi government, was an official with the M.E.K. before defecting in 1996. In a telephone interview, he acknowledged that he is an avowed enemy of the M.E.K., and has advocated against the group. Khodabandeh said that he had been with the group since before the fall of the Shah and, as a computer expert, was deeply involved in intelligence activities as well as providing security for the M.E.K. leadership. For the past decade, he and his English wife have run a support program for other defectors. Khodabandeh told me that he had heard from more recent defectors about the training in Nevada. He was told that the communications training in Nevada involved more than teaching how to keep in contact during attacksit also involved communication intercepts. The United States, he said, at one point found a way to penetrate some major Iranian communications systems.

At the time, he said, the U.S. provided M.E.K. operatives with the ability to intercept telephone calls and text messages inside Iranwhich M.E.K. operatives translated and shared with American signals intelligence experts. He does not know whether this activity is ongoing. Five Iranian nuclear scientists have been assassinated since 2007. M.E.K. spokesmen have denied any involvement in the killings, but early last month NBC News quoted two senior Obama Administration officials as confirming that the attacks were carried out by M.E.K. units that were financed and trained by Mossad, the Israeli secret service. NBC further quoted the Administration officials as denying any American involvement in the M.E.K. activities. The former senior intelligence official I spoke with seconded the NBC report that the Israelis were working with the M.E.K., adding that the operations benefitted from American intelligence. Part of it is the training in Nevada. Part of it is logistical support in Kurdistan, and part of it is inside Iran. M.E.K. now has a capacity for efficient operations than it never had before.

In mid-January, a few days after an assassination by car bomb of an Iranian nuclear scientist in Tehran, Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, at a town-hall meeting of soldiers at Fort Bliss, Texas, acknowledged that the U.S. government has some ideas as to who might be involved, but we dont know exactly who was involved. He added, But I can tell you one thing: the United States was not involved in that kind of effort. Thats not what the United States does.

May 11, 2012 - A 2007 New Yorker article written by renowned journalist Seymour Hersh revealed a plan under the Bush Administration to organize, arm, train, and deploy a regional army of Sunni terrorists, many with ties directly to Al Qaeda, in a bid to destabilize and overthrow both Syria and Iran. The plan consisted of US and Israeli backing, covertly funneled through Saudi proxies to conceal Washington and Tel Aviv's role, in building the Sunni extremist front. According to Seymour Hersh's 2007 article, "The Redirection: Is the Administration's new policy benefiting our enemies in the war on terrorism?," (1) Saudi Arabia, a more credible candidate for openly interfacing with the militants, openly admitted that it was a danger, but that they "created it," therefore could "control it," in meetings with Washington.

The plan called for not only setting up enclaves in nations neighboring Syria, including Lebanon, Jordan, and USoccupied Iraq, but also for building up the Muslim Brotherhood, both inside Syria's borders and beyond including Egypt. Hersh's work now holds new relevance as revelations that indeed a Sunni-extremist element is behind the violence in Syria, including a horrific bombing in Damascus (2) That has killed scores and injured hundreds. That these Sunni elements are openly supported by Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, with militants and weapons flowing in from the above mentioned Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon, (3) Just as planned in 2007, shows clearly that the US-IsraeliSaudi plan is unfolding just as intended. As the West feigns shock and horror over the rise of their Sunni front, from Egypt to Syria, and beyond, along with the resurrection of the Muslim Brotherhood, who Hersh confirmed was already benefiting from US and Saudi aid in 2007, it is clear that in reality this is the fruition of a complex premeditated plan, years in the making. The accomplices include Neo-Conservatives Dick Cheney, Elliott Abrams, and Zalmay Khalilzad - who also serves on the board of the US State Department's National Endowment for Democracy, (4) a chief facilitator of the "Arab Spring" destabilizations that brought the Muslim Brotherhood (purposefully) back into the Middle East's political landscape after Arab nations fought difficult battles against their brand of violent extremism and anti-secular policies.

Martin Indyk of the State Department under former President Clinton, former Ambassador to Israel, and a director at the corporate-financier funded think-tank, the Brookings Institution, was also mentioned in Hersh's report, and was a co-author of the infamous 2009 "Which Path to Persia?" report, (5) Openly declaring US machinations in bringing down the Iranian government. Saudi Arabia's Prince Bandar is noted by Hersh as instrumental in coordinating efforts between the Saudis, Israel, and the United States, while the political party built up around proSaudi Lebanese tycoon Rafic Hariri set the groundwork in Lebanon for the creation of a violent Sunni front. With Sunni-extremists committing increasingly frequent and violent atrocities across Syria, the US and the Western media in general, has attempted to portray it as a natural progression of Syria's internal conflict - when in reality, based on Hersh's report and confirmed again more recently as the source of the rebels' funding and support is revealed, it is clearly the result of this long-planned act of foreign aggression against Syria, perpetrated by the US, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and their Sunni proxies in the Muslim Brotherhood. Hersh's report had warned of the tragic consequences to be expected once this Sunni-front had been unleashed, namely, according to former CIA agent Robert Baer in Lebanon, " Sunni Arabs carrying out a "cataclysmic conflict." Baer warned of the need to protect Christians from a predictable onslaught by Sunni extremists - an onslaught now playing out against Syria's 10% Christian population, according to the LA Times' "Church fears 'ethnic cleansing' of Christians in Homs, Syria," (6) And more recently in USA Today's distorted, but still telling, "Christians in Syria live in uneasy alliance with Assad, Alawites."

(7) Christians are not the only minorities being targeted by the US-Israeli-Saudi terrorist front, but all minorities are as is secularism itself, being systematically targeted, as is the case after the NATO-backed dismemberment of Libya. (8) As the US State Department, and the US representative to the UN, Susan Rice attempt to portray terrorist violence in Syria as the fault of Syria's government for not yielding to "international" demands - we must remember that while they are absolutely correct - it is not because the Syrian government has reaped the consequences of inciting its own people into violence, but is instead suffering the consequences of disobeying foreign interests who have at their disposal a vast terrorist army they have been preparing for years - designed solely to undermine and depose the Syrian and Iranian governments.

Syria has foiled a attempted suicide car bomb attack in the northern city of Aleppo, state TV says, a day after massive blasts in the capital Damascus. It says the security forces killed the would-be bomber, who had 1,200kg (2,640lb) of explosives in the car. On Thursday, 55 people died in the two Damascus blasts near a military intelligence building. Syrian officials say "foreign-backed terrorists" carried out the twin suicide car-bomb attacks. On Friday, Syria's state TV said the attempted attack had been thwarted in Aleppo's al-Shaar area. It said the bomber was killed before he could detonate the powerful device. There has been no independent verification of the report so far. Syrian activists in Aleppo immediately dismissed the report as "a lie". "It is not in the interests of the (rebel) Free Syrian Army to stage attacks on a Friday," activist Mohammad al-Halabi told the AFP news agency. He said Friday had traditionally been the day of weekly mass anti-regime protests in recent months.
