Eligibility & Entry Fee

Players having the FIDE rating of 2200 & above are only allowed to participate in this event. In special cases, the organizers reserve the right to include players below 2200 in this tournament. The entry fee for these players will be Rs. 11000/- but it will be solely the discretion of the organizing committee to accept these entries. Those who wish to avail this facility should send the request not later than 1st November 2012. After 1st November, 2012 no such request will be entertained.

Maximum entry for Delhi players Rs. 7000/Entry Fee for special case players Rs. 11000/(Note: - Those Players who are registered with Delhi State Chess Association on or before 30.09.2012 will be considered for as Delhi Players) No request towards waiver of entry fee will be entertained. System of Play:
The tournament will be conducted as per FIDE Laws of Chess and FIDE Swiss System with 11 rounds. Time Control : 90 Minutes plus 30 second increment from move 1 for entire game. Tie Break: In case of a tie, the latest FIDE Rules shall come in to effect. The Cash prizes however will not be shared.

Accommodation:
All participants will be provided free hotel accommodation on triple sharing basis except for Delhi players. The accompanying persons will have to bear their own expenses. Players are requested to inform their room mate preference if any well in advance for making rooming list accordingly.

CATEGORY B (For Players 2200 & Below)

Tournament Schedule
Arrival Rounds 4th January 2013 at 1200 hrs. 5th January 2013 to 8th January 2013 and First Round will start at 1000 hrs on 5th January 2013.

Number of rounds will be decided in the players meeting according to number of participants. Maximum number of rounds will be 11.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Discount
Players will get a discount of 10% entry fee, if they forward the entry fee before 15th Nov 12. A discount of Rs. 500/- will be given to the players of Category A & C events, who not take the official accommodation for their stay (Delhi players are not eligible for this discount).

Entry Fee Form

It is mandatory to forward the entry form in the given format for accepting the entries along with prescribed entry fee.

Registration:
AICF registration fee for 2012-13 is compulsory for all Indian participants. The registration fee of Rs. 250/- will be accepted at the venue for the convenience of the players.

Weather:
