PREVENT DOWNTIME Before Altiris,Tyson had difficulty establishing a standard software image and its manual software rollouts were time-consuming and expensive. As a result, the IT department rarely performed system or software upgrades in a timely fashion.Webbased Software Delivery Solution and Deployment Solution have solved those problems by allowing a technician to make many repairs without leaving the office. "A year ago," said Stewart, "we had an IT staff that supported 6,000 machines, and now we have 11,000.Without the use of technology in general, and Altiris specifically, I don't know how we would do it.
